'What Men Want': Taraji P Henson stuns as a male-mind reader in the gender-swapped reboot of 'What Women Want'

It's official, the reboot of 'What Women Want' starring Taraji P Henson where she plays a total badass like ever, is here! Not like it wasn't expected, considering as soon as the reboot of 'What Men Want' - was announced, we just knew it was going to be just as stellar as the original chick flick starring Mel Gibson. Admit it this is just what the world needs, right now!

It's a whole lot better, stuffed with the hilarious portrayal by Henson as Ali - who can read minds, of course.

And what's better? Tracy Morgan joins in, pulling the much needed feminist peg on the whole concept of the original movie, giving us a hilarious rendition of tables turning and women reveling in the glory of figuring out just how messed up - and forgive the biased opinion, but - absurd the male brain's working is.

The titled really didn't have a lot of quirky creativity put into it as it is pretty much just a rip off of the original, but the story does follow Ali's life as an underrated employee whose promotion gets overlooked. And then of course - things just go haywire.

Simply put, this haywire leads to Ali drinking a psychic's concoction of "jasmine... weed, peyote and crack." She then follows it up with a wild night of further drinking and knocking herself out; to the point where she wakes up in the hospital to the domineering power of being able to hear men's thoughts. Who wouldn't want that, right!?

And Ali - much like the face behind the character - is a driven woman who can be trusted to use this new found, initially presumed to be a curse of a superpower, to her own advantage. Be it at intimidating her assistant, or just framing her opinions on the poker table about a man seemingly obsessed with toast. The said man, of course, is played by Tracy Morgan, and yes - you read it right. This guy has a toast in his pocket at a poker table.

Indulging in a star cast involving Shaquille O'Neal, Mark Cuban, Pete Davidson, and Erykah Badu, 'What Men Want' is expected to release on January 11, 2019, and will be directed by Adam Shankman, who has gifted us with iconic, comedic masterpieces, such as 'Hairspray' and 'The Wedding Planner.'

Apart from the obvious gender-swapped plotline, the film blesses us with Badu as the psychic who is responsible for turning Ali's life around, and if the trailer is to be trusted, she doesn't disappoint, once again. But it is Ali's portrayal of a sports agent, fighting her way to sign the next NBA superstar, while also tackling all these weird thoughts men seem to have out of nowhere, and simultaneously making her way into the boys' club at work and towards a possible romance that has us hooked.
