Melania Trump's birthday sees her relishing peaceful private life at Mar-a-Lago as she turns 51
Former first Lady Melania Trump celebrates her birthday today, on Monday, April 26. Her special day is sure to be filled with much pomp and adulation, though it is still not known if her husband Donald J Trump, the 45th President of the United States, will be throwing her a party or take her out to dinner, as he did on April 14. That said, the former Slovenian supermodel appears to be relishing the peace and quiet at Mar-a-Lago after dealing with four years of relentless scrutiny and criticism.

Born on April 26, 1970, Melania was raised in Sevnica, Slovenia by her parents Viktor Knavs and Amalija Ulčnik. She met Trump after moving to the United States to pursue a career in modeling, and the pair fell in love instantly. They dated for several years before tying the knot on January 22, 2005.
After leaving the White House earlier this year, Melania has seemingly embraced a much more private lifestyle. However, it appears she is slowly easing her way back into public life. On April 14, she was seen enjoying dinner with her husband at a private roped-off table at Mar-a-Lago. The dinner outing marked only the seventh occasion that the former first lady was seen out and about since leaving the White House.
Both Melania and Donald Trump, 74, were seen in photos at the Palm Beach resort, sitting next to each other at a round table outdoors. The mother-of-one donned an elegant sleeveless dress, while her husband wore a navy suit, a white button-up shirt, and a striped tie.
This came just days after Melania stepped out to attend a high-profile GOP fundraiser held at the Florida club. The former model was wearing a figure-hugging $1,900 white dress by Giambattista Valli as she walked behind Donald. The pair were welcomed with applause upon entering the event before they smiled and welcomed guests.
Days later, Melania made a joint statement with Donald Trump in light of the passing of Prince Philip at age 99. The pair expressed their condolences to Queen Elizabeth II following his demise.
"President Trump and I extend our deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Family, and the people of Great Britain as the world mourns the loss of Prince Philip," she wrote on Twitter.

For the most part, however, the former FLOTUS appears to have been enjoying her renewed privacy after she left the White House. Prior to the aforementioned outings, Melania had made just five brief public appearances in the three months that she has been living in the beachfront resort with her husband with Barron, their 15-year-old son.
In January, the Trumps made a bold statement by skipping the inauguration ceremony of President Joe Biden in Washington, DC. Boarding the Air Force One for the last time, the family flew to their Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, where Melania stepped off the plane in a printed Gucci dress.
Melania had offered a clear hint at the time that she was planning to leave the spotlight for good when she refused to stop and pose for cameras upon their arrival. Instead, she walked away from the paparazzi without so much as a wave, while her husband smiled for pictures.
