What is John Boehner's net worth? Ted Cruz puts signed copy of ex-Speaker's memoir in fireplace
Former House Speaker John Boehner's new bombshell memoir has become the talk of the town after he took several digs at Senator Ted Cruz in his book, including calling him a "reckless a**hole".
Boehner, the author of 'On the House: A Washington Memoir', in an excerpt of which was published in Politico earlier this month, skewered Cruz, calling him a "reckless a**hole who thinks he is smarter than everyone else" and "a lunatic" who "enlisted the crazy caucus of the GOP". Then a week later, Boehner doubled down on his criticism of the senator, telling CBS News that he singled out Cruz because he had amplified divisions within the Republican House caucus.

He even added an unscripted, "PS, Ted Cruz, go f**k yourself" in the audiobook recording of the memoir. Since leaving office, the Ohio Republican has called Cruz "Lucifer in the flesh" and told an audience he'd "never worked with a more miserable son of a b***h in my life."
"I don't beat anybody up, it's not really my style, except that jerk."

In another interview on Fox News on Tuesday, April 13, Boehner explained that while he got along well with most of his Republican colleagues during his time on Capitol Hill, there were roughly "30 of them that weren't conservative — I'm a conservative Republican — they were knuckleheads and Ted Cruz came over and kept winding them up to do crazy things that have never had a chance of becoming law. All you will do is cause problems and so over the years, I’ve just decided, screw Ted Cruz."
On Tuesday, April 13, it seemed like Cruz had enough as he clapped back at Boehner by posting three pictures of his book with the caption, "Some smart-ass dropped off a copy of Boehner's new book at my office," Cruz tweeted. "It's even signed! I filed it in the appropriate place." The first photo was of Boehner's book sitting on a table in Cruz's office, the second snap was of the book's title page signed by Boehner, and a third of the book in the fireplace, which Cruz called its "appropriate place."
