What is the plot of ‘Waco: The Aftermath’?
The five-episode miniseries will carry on the story of the 2018 miniseries 'Waco,' which centered on the central events of the 51-day standoff between a religious sect and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in Texas.
'Waco: The Aftermath' is expected to resemble a courtroom drama that will concentrate on the aftermath of the Waco disaster, including trials of the surviving members of the Branch Davidian sect and the rise of homegrown terrorist Timothy McVeigh. The true crime drama will additionally offer a broader context for the escalation of the American militia movement, which foretells the infamous bombing Oklahoma City Federal Building in April 1995 and the storming of the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.
‘Waco: The Aftermath’ will begin airing weekly on Showtime on April 16. For the ones with Showtime streaming accounts, the show will be available to stream two days earlier, on April 14.
