Several renditions of Spider-Man have been released over the years through various forms of media. In 2018, Miles Morales hit the big screen with ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ and now, in 2023, he is returning with ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’.
Undoubtedly, there’s a lot of hype around ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ and the bar has been set incredibly high. This upcoming movie by Sony and Marvel will feature a large amount of Spider-Man variants, and not all of them will be kind. There’s plenty to look forward to when it comes to ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ but the plot, as much as has been revealed, takes the cake!
What is the plot of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’?
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ will follow Miles Morales aka Brooklyn’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man on his latest adventure. He will be joined by none other than Gwen Stacey, and a lot of other Spider-people or variants, and by a lot, we mean over 250 of them, as confirmed by the co-director Justin Thompson. Some of these variants will be his friends, while the others will be foes, which is an interesting change of pace from the first movie.
In addition, ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ will also be introducing its newest villain who is known as The Spot. Miles will find himself traveling through dimensions as he realizes he has some big decisions to make. Looks like he cannot have it all. Sacrifices will be made and the stakes are higher than ever in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’.
