AUSTIN, TEXAS: UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan explored diverse subjects on his JRE podcast. During an episode featuring Shane Gillis, he delved into the renowned Karni Mata Temple aka 'Rat Temple' located in Deshnoke, Rajasthan, India.

The Karni Mata Temple of Deshnoke, also known as Madh Deshnoke, stands as a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess of power, Karni Mata. It is positioned in the town of Deshnoke, Rajasthan, India, approximately 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) south of Bikaner.

During the podcast with Shane Gillis, Joe Rogan said, "You ever see that Rat Temple in India? Oh, dude, this is wild!"

He continued, "There is a Rat Temple in India and these rats hang out with everyone. They eat with you. They put milk out there and the rats drink it. It's the weirdest thing, a temple filled with rats."



 

He added, "As these people are playing there are rats everywhere. But they are not treated poorly, well they got this wrong. The rats just eat their food and it is a beautiful temple."

A person also commented, "It is said that the residing deity a Goddess turned into a rat to escape some demon. Hence the rats have hung out in that temple since its construction. It is a 100s of years old temple. No one got a plaque in this region. The name of the temple is Karni Mata temple."
