What is Black 2A? Armed activists march in Texas demanding end to illegal immigration, closing of borders
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Over the weekend, armed activists with a coalition of Black self-defense groups marched in Austin, Texas, demanding an end to illegal immigration. The coalition, which included Black 2A activists, also demanded that President Joe Biden close the borders. On Saturday, September 24, activists chanted "close the borders" and "take your a** home" as they marched toward the Texas Capitol in the 'Second Amendment Unity Walk'.
The Elmer 'Geronimo' Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club led the march. They also demanded reparations for descendants of enslaved people and a hate crime bill protecting Black Americans. Some supporters of former president Donald Trump opposed the group, as did other protesters gathered at the Texas State Capitol to support January 6 defendants. The march comes after Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey sent thousands of migrants to Washington, DC, New York City, and Chicago, Illinois by bus. All these cities have refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

What is Black 2A?
The rally comprised various groups, including Black 2A, that believe in the same cause. According to Urban Dictionary, 2A refers to "the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, i.e. the Right to Keep and Bear Arms." The Gun Club members are all 2A activists. Black 2A activists are Black people who profess the right to carry guns.
"How do you think that would have turned out?" asked one of the Black 2A activists of if they stormed the Capitol. Some said hundreds would be killed.

Besides The Elmer 'Geronimo' Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club, various other groups including the Black Riders Liberation Party were part of the march. The activists marched through Austin, holding a huge sign that read "Reparations now!". Videos of the march have surfaced on social media. "Close the borders!" the activists chanted. Some yelled, "Take your a** home!". "What do we want? Closed borders! When do we want it? Now!" many yelled.

A speaker at the Capitol building explained the group's demands as "Reparations now, delineation, a stop to illegal immigration", the Daily Mail reported. "We need an anti-crime bill for Black Americans," the speaker said. "And we need the same protection act that the Native Americans have against CPS for our Black American children. Republicans, do not dare to make the mistake of thinking you will get our vote just because we believe in exercising our Second Amendment."

"Yes, I'm talking to you Ted Cruz and Governor Abbott," the speaker added. "Don't think we are standing with you because we are against illegal immigration." The speaker also urged Vice President Kamala Harris to step up.

An activist named Nick Bezzel advocated reparations for descendants of enslaved people as a "justice claim". "What we don't wanna hear is 'America doesn't have the money' - Ukraine!" he told the group. "That could be going to the children of the people who built this nation."
The activist said they were planning to go into the Texas State House in January in an attempt to lobby for legislation. "We do have a problem with illegal immigration," he said. "Because a lot of times, jobs are taken away from Black people. Black people are locked out from employment due to illegal immigration."
This march comes after Vice President Kamala Harris blasted Republicans for taking migrants to various locations across the country for the "sake of a headline". Greg Abott had previously dropped two buses full of asylum-seekers off right in front of her home. Meanwhile, a class action lawsuit was opened against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after he reporetdly flew a plane of 50 migrants to the island of Martha's Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. "They're playing games," Harris told Vice News. "These are political stunts with real human beings who are fleeing harm."
