What happened to Azaylia? Ashley Cain's daughter rushed to ER hours after returning home from hospital
Ashley Cain's 8-month-old daughter Azaylia was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance on Tuesday, April 13 night yet again. 'The Challenge' star shared a video update on his Instagram page with the caption 'come on baby'. Earlier in the day, the ecstatic father was seen taking a walk in the neighborhood with Azaylia latched on his arm.
This was after he brought Azaylia home after a platelet transfusion. "We had the transfusion to try and prevent bleeding from her nose/eyes and internally. This was the very first time that Cain had the opportunity of taking Azaylia out for a walk and he was very glad to have been able to have this experience.

"I've never ever been able to do this. Walk outside in the street with my baby girl because when she goes for chemo she has to be covered up. So the fact I get to walk out with my baby girl in the fresh air is absolutely amazing. Despite what we are going through every day is a blessing. It's absolutely amazing that something so small could mean so much," he said in the video posted to his Instagram story.
What happened to Azaylia?
Azaylia Diamond Cain was born on August 10, 2020, to Cain and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee. Two months later, the new parents got the news that their daughter had cancer and since then Azaylia had been living in Birmingham Children's Hospital undergoing chemotherapy and stem cell treatment.
Vorajee took to her Instagram story after Azaylia's recent health scare which resulted in yet another hospital visit for the infant. Vorajee revealed that her daughter's heartbeat had skyrocketed above 200 beats per minute which is why they brought her to the emergency room. "Currently waiting for her blood results to see if we can get her some antibiotics to treat any infections," she wrote on her stories alongside a photo of her and Azaylia. "I love & adore you sweet girl." Vorajee also shared videos of Azaylia being transported into the hospital, writing "Mummy & Daddy promised to give you our 100% from day 1 & we will keep to our word whatever you need we will do for you baby".
Cain and Vorajee have been documenting Azaylia's cancer battle on their pages and there's been a constant outpour of love and support for their daughter. On April 13, people in their neighborhood had conducted an official doorstep clap in honor of her heroic battle with the disease. "I have been told today, there is an official doorstep clap that’s been organized for Azaylia tonight at 7 pm. To this day, I am still amazed and overwhelmed at the amount of love and support for my beautiful daughter, and I am grateful for everyone who has arranged and will be taking part in tonight’s clap, to show support for Azaylia and her journey," Cain shared on his feed alongside a photo from his walk with Azaylia.
"Despite what’s going on, I truly feel blessed that I get to spend these days with the best thing that ever happened to me. They will stay with me in my heart forever!," Cain wrote, concluding the heartwarming post.
