Chuk Anyanwu is pushing back after Taylor Brown criticized his ‘Big Brother 28’ gameplay. Their clash began while Chuk was on the block against Barrett Pfeiffer, when Taylor told him he needed to give the other houseguests a reason to keep him. In the Diary Room, she described the advice as “‘Big Brother’ for dummies.” Taylor then said in her goodbye message that Chuk did not listen to other people’s advice.

Chuk was voted out 9-1, with Haley Thogmartin casting the only vote to keep him. After leaving the house, he rejected Taylor’s assessment and explained why he did not take her advice. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Chuk pointed to Taylor’s time on the block and approach to campaigning.

“Taylor was someone who has been on the block twice, giving me advice on how to pitch myself to everyone when she struggled to do that exact damn thing,” Chuk said. He added that Taylor had previously turned to him for help when she was in danger and argued that she had not built firm alliances. Chuk said he listened to her but did not see her as the right person to guide his campaign.

He also responded directly to Taylor’s goodbye message. “Well, guess what? You did not do this. You did not do that. She should be someone to take her own advice,” he said. He described Taylor as having “floated” through the game and said he would have been more receptive if the guidance had come from another player.

“There was no way I was taking advice from Taylor on how to play the game,” Chuk said. “She’s a super fan. She is someone who knows freaking everything. But at the same time, I think with all that knowledge, it’s ruined her game, right?” He said he stood by the decision because they had played the game in different ways.

As for his campaign, Chuk said he presented himself as a shield for the house. He believed that staying would make him a likely nominee again, while his ability to win competitions could protect people aligned with him. Chuk also said he did not want to make a “messy” campaign despite being in danger.

Before the vote, Chuk believed the Red Corner alliance would give him six votes, including Angela. He also thought LaLa Verrett would save him in a tiebreaker after she gave him Oreos that morning. Instead, only Haley voted to evict Barrett. He also said Yash Patel’s vote hurt the most because he considered Yash one of his closest allies, though he understood that Yash did not want to go against the house. 'Big Brother' Season 28 is currently live on CBS, and fans can stream full episodes on Paramount+.
