LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Doja Cat is facing criticism online after posting a photo on Instagram wearing a t-shirt featuring Sam Hyde, who gained notoriety in the mid-2010s for uploading a series of homophobic and racist stand-up acts.

After receiving significant backlash, Doja Cat deleted the picture from her Instagram. But, as of now, she has not addressed the issue.

Sam Hyde is known for his neo-Nazi beliefs.

What did Doja Cat post on Instagram? 

In a since-removed post on social media, Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, was observed donning a tiara, accompanied by small hoop earrings and bedazzled eyebrows.

Her intense gaze at the camera revealed a black t-shirt featuring a depiction of Sam Hyde holding a firearm in a selfie.

Seeing the composition of this piece, the image had garnered more than 11 million views across various social media platforms.

Why is Sam Hyde famous? 

Sam Hyde gained widespread attention on social media in the mid-2010s for sharing a collection of controversial stand-up acts that included homophobic and racist content.

In one of these performances, he expressed discriminatory views, stating "“Homosexuality is the manifestation of intense perversion and antisocial attitudes" , referring to it as a "f**ked up" manifestation.

Hyde is notably recognized as a co-founder of the comedy ensemble Million Dollar Extreme, a venture undertaken alongside Charles Carroll and Nick Rochefort.

Sam Hyde has openly expressed backing for alt-right and neo-Nazi groups, aligning himself with these controversial ideologies.

Furthermore, his image was notably featured in the manifesto of the racist New York shooter in May 2022, who gained notoriety for the tragic event in Buffalo where 10 people were shot.

Ever since the tweets and re-tweets, people's comments have been circulating across social media platforms. 

One Twitter user posted, "Doja Cat poses for a selfie wearing a shirt with neo Nazi Sam Hyde on it."

One user said, "i wonder what goes on in her sick mind".

Another quppied, "doja cat wearing a t shirt of a nazi is beyond forgivable , also bare in mind her mother is literally jewish, this HAS to be the final straw for people, no more streaming doja". 

One wrote on Reddit, "Weren’t NN’s her first stans? I swear I remember reading that she was popular in gross little racist chat rooms". 

Another Reddit comment read, "How deep was she in those feet-showing racial chat rooms? All jokes aside, along with being half-black isn’t she also Jewish on her mom’s side? There has to be a crazy amount of self-hatred going on for her to always be caught supporting/sharing spaces with racists and antisemites."
