Wendy Williams show staff questioned her sobriety ‘25 TIMES’, found liquor bottles hidden in ‘weird places’
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK- Wendy Williams' staff found bottles of alcohol hidden in the ceiling on the set of her talk show, 'The Wendy Williams Show'. Producers are believed to have questioned her sobriety "at least 25 times."
According to sources at The Hollywood Reporter, Wendy had been struggling with various health problems, including Graves' disease and alcohol and drug addiction in her final years on the talk show which ended in June.

A source told the Hollywood Reporter, "everybody on that staff and crew witnessed all kinds of things.” The insider also revealed that staffers would “find bottles [of alcohol] up in the ceiling tiles and other weird places in the office."
The former talk show host's state was questioned by Wendy's producers on "at least 25" different occasions in text messages sent to the seniors before the show began. They would decide "ultra-quick" if they could go live at 10 am, regardless of Wendy's reassurance that she was "fine."
As per the outlet, in some cases, the episode would be the second taping of the day and wouldn't air until later in the week, giving executives time to rewatch the hour to see if Wendy looked inebriated.
Wendy has been battling both on the professional and personal front. A source said to The US Sun, “everyone is an enabler because they don't want to lose their job. They see it, they know it, they smelled the liquor. Wendy drinks every day and the only time she was sober was when she was at the sober house.”
Another source said to the outlet that the 58-year-old is not the same person she used to be. The insider said, “the spark is gone. That Wendy, who for ten years had that spark in her eyes, that cheeky grin and that little wink is not the same now."
The source added, “she’s not always functioning like she used to be. She has days where she needs help eating, getting out of bed and getting dressed," they continued.

Ever since her talk show came to an end, Wendy has made several appearances in the media. She claimed recently that she had tied the knot with a police officer named Henry, a claim which her manager denied. In a video, Wendy is seen showing her ring to a fan. The fan then asked Wendy, "What do you have to say for the camera?" To which Wendy replied, "He's out buying, getting stuff, waiting for him to come back."

In another instance, Wendy was captured looking extremely thin, concerning her fans and well-wishers alike.

Wendy is also embroiled in a legal battle with her bank which has frozen her accounts, due to which she has been unable to access her estimated $20 million fortune.
