MOSCOW, IDAHO: Bryan Christopher Kohberger, the suspect in the murders of four University of Idaho students, was identified and apprehended more than a month after the gruesome killings. Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were murdered on November 13 by what is thought to be a J-shaped knife.
The accused's incarceration has spawned new theories about the case's suspect, throwing social media sleuths into a frenzy. Recently, a Reddit user posted an absurd question comparing the appearance of Kohberger and the serial killer Ted Bundy. The user wrote, "Who's hotter? Ted Bundy or Bryan Kohberger?"

The Reddit user further added, "I know I know, Ted is who you have some fun with while Bryan is who you bring home to mom, fair enough, people have their types." Another user criticized the post and wrote, "you can not be serious." Further, a user stated, "Be so for real right now…." Since the start of this heinous murder case, there has been a slew of odd hypothesis and bizarre comparisons by people across the Internet.
About Kohberger's arrest
Kohberger was apprehended on December 30 at his parents' home in eastern Pennsylvania, which is more than 2,000 miles from Moscow. Kohberger is a PhD student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University. Despite his denial of murder, Kohberger signed a form enabling his extradition and he will now be transferred to Idaho sometime within the next 10 days.
When Kohberger enters the state, he will be given a sealed document with an arrest warrant for the deaths and a description of the events that prompted officials to suspect him of the murder. A judge has ordered a gag order in the Kohberger case. According to sources, Latah County Magistrate Judge Megan Marshall issued the order on January 3, 2023, declaring that neither the detectives nor their attorneys could discuss the present case in public.
About Kohberger's trial
According to Kohberger's attorney, Monroe County Chief Public Defender Jason LaBar, his client is "eager to be exonerated of these charges and looks forward to resolving these matters as promptly as possible." During the court session, Kohberger waived his right to extradition, according to a media representative inside the Pennsylvania courthouse.
The next judicial proceeding will occur once the accused is transported to Idaho where he will appear before a magistrate before the hearings. The 28-year-old is charged with four charges of first-degree murder and one count of criminal burglary in the November 2022 murders of four students, as reported by MEAWW.
Leads that led to Bryan Kohberger
The victims' families' and the media's pressure have made this case incredibly delicate and challenging. The FBI worked with the Moscow Police Department to locate a white Hyundai Elantra that was involved in the incident. The Elantra was purportedly taken from the Pennsylvania house by police because it was supposedly seen in close proximity to the murder house. It is also claimed that the finding of this white Hyundai Elantra aided in the arrest of Kohberger.
