LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' is undoubtedly one of the longest-running sitcoms right now and is currently airing its Season 19. So far, almost all of the original cast members have left the show, with the recent one being Ellen Pompeo's Dr Meredith Grey. As the show is undoubtedly one of the greatest series of all time, the prolonging of the show's seasons has divided the fans, with many wanting the show to end as almost all major original characters have left the show. In this situation, Kim Raver, who plays Dr Teddy Altman in the show, wants 'Grey's Anatomy' to have a long run.

The recent episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' has seen the new hospital chief Raver as a first time director for the Episode 11, titled 'Training Day'. This episode sees Addison Montgomery, as she is getting ready to train the new interns, while a group of protesters are out at the hospital and things start to get violent. This leads to a forced lockdown being imposed on the hospital.

The show must go on

In a recent interview with ET Online, actress turned director, Raver spilled the tea on her character Teddy Altman taking over Meredith Grey as the new chief at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Raver shared her excitement for her new role by adding, "Chief Teddy Altman. I like seeing that on the door." When Raver was asked the burning question of how long she sees the show is about to go, she excitedly replied, "Oh, let's keep on going!" And it seems like Kim wants the show to go on. Kim added, "We would all love Season 20. There feels something very momentous about a Season 20."

She feels that there are still numerous stories left to tell and with several new interns are in the hospital now, there are potentially several new stories to be explored and new chapters to write. Raver said, "I don't feel that way. I just feel like there’s [something] inherently in 'Grey's Anatomy' and the amazing way to tell human stories and I feel like that just can keep going. We have all these new, young interns and there’s so many stories to be told with them and I love them in contrast with the attendings."

'I had the best time'

While opening up about her experience as a first time director working for the 'Grey's Anatomy', Raver said, "I had the best time," and shared her time as the caption of the episode. She further shared that she had ultimate fun doing the episode and said she used her fake walkie-talkie as Teddy, chief. On the other hand, she has used her real walkie-talkie to talk to the crew. Raver further went on to praise the crew and cast of the show and noted that it was a dream for her. She also gave a nod to Debbie Allen by noting her as her mentor.
