ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' is coming back for the fifteenth season and it is bringing back Kim Raver as a series regular with it. Dr. Teddy Altman, Raver's character has appeared twice in the most recent fourteenth season and will be returning as a full-time doc in the next season in this medical drama.

ABC officially renewed the show for a network primetime drama record-setting fifteenth season this April. The news comes soon after two series regulars who had been with the show for a really long time recently left the show after last week's season finale. Jessica Capshaw aka Arizona Robbins who had been on since season 5 and Sarah Drew aka April Kepner who had been onboard since season 6, will no longer be on for season 15.

Teddy Altman plays the interim chief of surgery at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. "I am thrilled to reprise the role of Dr. Teddy Altman as a regular. Returning to Shondaland with the incredibly talented [showrunner] Krista Vernoff, Ellen Pompeo and the amazing cast is heavenly. I have a special place in my heart for Teddy and feel very lucky to have the opportunity to continue her story," said the actress in a statement.

An old pal of Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), she is a badass who has served in the military. In season 14, she made her return after last appearing in season 8. Teddy and Owen's romance is brewing, especially after he went to see her in Germany. Teddy is also pregnant as the season finale revealed. It is most probably Owen's kid.

She first made her debut for the series in its sixth season, when she came in as a mentor for Cristina Yang's character Sandra Oh. She made her exit two seasons later after her flame Henry died and she signed up to be a doctor for the army hospital to get over the grief.

The series also stars Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery, Caterina Scorsone as Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as Jo Wilson, Kelly McCreary as Maggie Pierce, and Giacomo Gianniotti as Andrew DeLuca.
