Was Slim 400 attacked before?
In June 2019, Rapper Slim 400 was shot multiple times and had to be rushed to a Los Angeles hospital. Law enforcement sources said that he underwent surgery and was in serious condition. However, not much about the shooter/shooters was revealed. The shooting took place three months to the day of Nipsey Hussle’s murder -- a rapper who was gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing Store.
"I just feel like when you meant to be here and God have a plan for you, it ain't no stoppin' it," he had said after he recovered. "I hit the ground thinking it was over. My family came out, kept me alive, talking to me, dragging me in the house while they still shooting...My family, love her to death for just saving me. I just feel like I'm blessed just to be here 'cause I could have just died then and there."
In the past, Slim 400 had had issues with American rapper 6ix9ine. Last year, the rapper even showed off his “Fuck 6ix9ine” back tattoo. Back in 2018, 6ix9ine dissed Los Angeles gang culture, and the same year, Slim 400 confronted 6ix9ine in Long Beach where there was a shouting match between the two rappers. However, there was no violence.
In a recent incident, Rapper Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, better known by his stage name of Young Dolph, was shot and killed on November 17. According to reports, the rapper was at a cookie store when the incident happened and is believed to have died on the spot. Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Memphis police believe Dolph to be the victim. "Our hearts go out to the Thornton family and all who were affected by this horrific act of violence," they said in a brief statement, dubbing the killing 'senseless'.
In mid-September, 19-year-old rapper SpotemGottem was shot in a drive-by shooting but thankfully survived. But that was a fate not everyone was fortunate enough to have. In July, Zerail Dijon Rivera aka Indian Red Boy was shot dead while recording an Instagram Live in Hawthorne, California. Similarly, in June, Detroit rapper VNZA was killed in a bar in Missouri.
Last month, authorities began investigating the death of Brazilian rapper MC Black, after he was found dead in the sea and the body showed signs of torture. The 20-year-old rapper, whose real name is Francisco Ytalo Oliveira de Queiroz, was found dead at a popular beach resort in Fortaleza on Wednesday, November 24. According to The Sun, Black disappeared on Monday, November 22, after telling relatives he was visiting Iracema Beach to record some new content for social media, but never returned.
