In a bizarre video captured last year, Oxford school shooter Ethan Crumbley was seen collapsing while working at a local diner. The footage shows the 15-year-old suspect stumbling and then collapsing in the back room of the 5-1 Diner in Oxford on September 20, 2020, at about 11 am. Crumbley has the world's attention on him since he was arrested as a suspect in a shooting at the Oxford High School in Michigan earlier this month.

The restaurant owner claimed that Crumbley was filling in for another employee that day. He had reportedly worked there on seven or eight other occasions. The video, which was obtained exclusively by Daily Mail, shows Crumbley entering the room unstable on his feet, swaying erratically, and then collapsing on the floor.

Who helped James and Jennifer Crumbley flee? Person 'could face charges'

In the video, one can see that as Crumbley struggles to get back up, a co-coworker comes to help him. "Hold it, you alright?" the employee said. "Yeah, I'm not feeling...," Crumbley mutters. The owner said that Crumbley's mother claimed this happened because he had not eaten that day. The owner, however, doubted that Crumbley may have been on medication or suffering from some underlying medical condition. "We sent him home. The mom said it was just because he didn't eat anything. It seems a lot for that to just be not eating," the owner said.

Talking about a separate incident, the owner claimed that Ethan's half-brother, Eli, was caught smoking weed at work. Eli, 18, also previously worked at the diner. When someone from the staff threatened to call his parents, Eli allegedly responded, "Where do you think I got it from?"

According to online records in Duval County, Florida, Crumbley's parents James and Jennifer Crumbley were charged with DUI on Feb 12, 2005, pleaded no contest and were fined $652 each.

Meanwhile, it is possible that the school officials “could face criminal charges” following the tragic shooting. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has said that “anything is possible” in regards to school officials facing charges in the aftermath of Crumbley killing four students and injuring many. “I don’t want to jump to any conclusions because we don’t have that information at this point,” Nessel told journalist Brian Entin. “But that’s a big part of the investigation because people want to make sure that these questions are answered.”

The Sheriff's Office announced on December 4 that Crumbley's parents James and Jennifer would be facing four counts of involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, they will face 15 years in prison. Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald defended the charges saying "extreme negligence" led to the school tragedy and the pistol used by the teen fugitive was purchased by James at a Black Friday sale, in presence of his son. James is also accused of failing to keep the firearm away from his son.
