For those concerned about online privacy or seeking to disconnect from social media, there are now two ways to delete a Facebook account. You can either deactivate your account temporarily or delete it for good. There’s almost never a bad time to delete your Facebook account! Deleting your account might be a wise choice if you use it less than ever and every time you log in you're greeted with a slurry of reheated viral news and, not to forget, the life updates from many of your acquaintances.

The main distinction between deactivating and completely deleting a Facebook account is that while you may always reactivate a deactivated account, a deleted account will be permanently gone from Facebook's directory along with all of your photographs, posts, links, comments, and everything else.
