This article contains spoilers for 'WandaVision' Season 1 Episode 3

Is Vision really alive? The question spawned multiple theories amongst Marvel geeks as Paul Bettany's android wades his way through what has been a perfectly imperfect world. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) now lives with him at 2800 Westview, are a wacky couple, who is a hit with their neighbors and then drop a massive surprise in the form of her pregnancy that sees the birth of Billy and Tommy, the twin babies of Wanda, who was a twin as well.

And none of these make sense when watching the season opener. The second episode throws a shade of seriousness on the entire episode as the audience is shown that Westview is all but a fake reality. While Vision's return was attributed to Wanda's ridiculously powerful figment of imagination, one particular scene in the latest episode shows that Vision's character could not really understand whatever was happening. And this poses questions

In one of the scenes, the duo talk about their pregnancy, which sees Vision question what is happening around them. Although it is later shown to be Wanda's thinking, this event leads to a couple of theories that may either make complete sense or comers across as plain outlandish. For starters, the whole event brings back the question of Vision being alive. The avenger was killed by Thanos in 'Avengers: Infinity War.' Perhaps, one theory is his consciousness that's somehow being retrieved and then fed into the fake universe Wanda has managed to create.

We do know Jarvis's consciousness was transferred to Vision in 'Age of Ultron' and perhaps this is a similar pattern. What if Vision's consciousness was indeed back after the events of 'Avengers: Endgame'? If so, that could explain how Vision did indeed return in 'WandaVision.'

The other probable theory is that of Vision used as a distraction or a key component by SWORD who may have actually had a hand in creating this illusory world. Vision was Wanda's love and his death left the mutant shattered. Adding him to her world was probably the organization's way of probably...experimenting on Wanda? We never know, really. SWORD might just not be what we hoped it would be.

What are your thoughts on Vision's return?
