This episode contains spoilers for 'WandaVision' Episode 4

There were enough revelations in Episode 4 of 'WandaVision'; however, there were also more questions that popped up by the end of the 30-minute episode, that seemed even shorter than the actual duration. The entire episode was a breeze as it focused more on SWORD, the founder, some massive Easter Eggs, and then a huge question that put the spotlight back on Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen). With the series touching the halfway mark, the House of M storyline is all but confirmed as the final minutes say, "It's all Wanda." What Episode 4 does is disprove our theory of SWORD being the bad guys. HYDRA is not even a mention and it certainly doesn't appear that Wanda is being experimented upon. To understand why Wanda created a fake, yet meticulous reality where everything is near perfect, we will have to go back to her childhood. Sokovia wasn't a perfect world. Stark Industries were major weapon mongers then and her parents were victims of a mortar shell that blew up their apartment.

Wanda and her twin brother, Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), survived, but not before spending what appeared to be a lifetime trapped in rubble while a Stark Industries shell lay in front of them. The twins hid thinking the shell would go off, but they survived, and as they grew, so did their hate for Tony Stark. Quite simply, Wanda's childhood was not a pleasant one. That she and Pietro allowed themselves to be experimented upon by HYDRA was just the start of their lives that would change drastically.

While most subjects died as they couldn't handle Von Strucker's experiments, the twins survived and eventually took on the Avengers. 'Age of Ultron' saw them play key roles and it was a bitter end to Pietro who died at the hands of Ultron. This was probably the first time Wanda lost control of her powers and practically vaporized everything around her. There was some sense of stability in her life when she was an Avenger and her romantic relationship with Vision (Paul Bettany) probably saw her lead life in the greener pastures, but again, this was short-lived.

By the events of 'Avengers: Infinity War,' the superhero band had split and Vision's mind stone was being hunted for by Thanos. The mad Titan killed the android and that was another major blow. Wanda's sense of normalcy took a major blow and this may have led her to create Westview.

Those who watched the series so far would understand that Westview is everything a simple person would need. Life was perfect, and life was normal. And perhaps, that was what Wanda wanted all her life. When her life went south, the powers she had ensured she found solace in a fake reality which she knew was flawed and impossible to have right from the start. She would get to have Vision back, (The episode confirms he's dead) there would be a family, and most importantly, there would be happiness.

In the end, it is a simple theory - Wanda just wanted to be happy, and the show makes the character a lot more human, despite her powers making her one of the strongest Avengers on the team. How this pans out is something we will know as the series inches to a close.
