Spoilers for 'WandaVision' Episode 9

For starters, 'WandaVision' has two credit scenes — one focusing on Monica Rambeau's future in the MCU, and then the post-credit scene that ties directly into 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.' The short clip sees Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) now living life as a recluse after the devastating and bittersweet battle of Westview that finally saw her come to terms with reality and bid goodbye to the world she envisioned and created.

The clip sees Wanda living in a place that's unnamed and remote. The clip sees her sitting outside her cottage and then heading in as the kettle blows, the serenity changes to ominous music that signals something fearful, but it is shown to be the Scarlet Witch in her astral form (much akin to what we saw in Doctor Strange). It does appear that she is reading from the Darkhold (fans are welcome to theorize in the comments section) and then hears one of her children screaming. "Mom, help!" as the screen goes black.

This is the second reference to Doctor Stephen Strange in the episode. The first comes in the form of Agatha Harkness's (Kathryn Hahn) declaration that the Scarlet Witch is powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme, who is actually Strange. Although fans would be disappointed that there is no actual cameo by Benedict Cumberbatch, the references tie directly into the events of the 'Doctor Strange' sequel. Much about the movie's plotline is under lock and key, but it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that Wanda will play an integral role in the upcoming film.

Twitterati heavily speculated that the Doctor Strange connection would be revealed and they hit the nail on the head with the theory. The current discussion point is if she is trying to get her kids back to reality. After all, Wanda used chaos magic to create life, odds are she'll do it again.

"The tie-in to MOM was pretty obvious: Wanda was using Dr. Strange's "learn in your astral form while your body is elsewhere" trick, while his theme was playing, and she heard her child crying for help from another universe. She's clearly on a collision course with Dr. Strange," read one of the theories. "It's probably newly reincarnated versions of billy and tommy calling for their mum," another reckoned.

"She heard her kids, they probably actually did have something to do with Mephisto or Master Pandemonium or it’s probably changed to Nightmare, n that’s why Agatha said she’d need her again b/c it’s like the comics," speculated one of the fans.
