MOSCOW, RUSSIA: Vladimir Putin has reportedly been on high alert for threats against his regime ever since the daughter of his close ally and ultra-nationalist Alexander Dugin was killed in a car bombing incident. The attack on Darya Dugina, 29, is believed to have been meant for her father. In the wake of the brutal attack on Darya, Putin now "fears a coup."

Alexander Dugin bore witness to his daughter's killing, explaining how he saw Darya's car go up in flames. Russian officials were spotted investigating the scene of the attack last Saturday on August 20. The attack reportedly occured on a Moscow highway.

According to a RadarOnline report, the incident has clearly rattled Vladimir Putin and his life is likely in danger as predicted by investigators looking into the incident. Investigators also stated that the attack was aimed at Alexander, who, during the hours leading up to the incident, had been attending a festival with daughter Darya. The duo was supposed to be leaving in the same vehicle but switched the plan last minute.

"Taking into account the data already obtained, the investigation believes that the crime was pre-planned and was of an ordered nature," the investigative committee said in a statement on Sunday, also revealing that the bomb that killed Darya was being detonated remotely. Darya presumably died from an explosive device installed in the Toyota Land Cruiser, after the car went on a public road where it then caught fire.

Just like her father, Darya was also openly supportive of Putin's decision to open war on Ukraine. According to RadarOnline, Russia has blamed Ukraine on Darya's incident to which Ukraine reciprocated saying that their country is in no way involved in the incident and such allegations are being made to 'provoke' Ukraine. "Ukraine clearly has nothing to do with yesterday's bombing, because we are not a criminal state like the Russian Federation, and even more so not a terrorist state," Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said in a public statement.

Despite being shook over the incident, Vladimir Putin has himself addressed Darya's death and has posthumously awarded the young woman the Order Of Courage to tribute her. Father Alexander Dugin gave a speech at Darya's memorial service where he stated that Darya died for the people and for Russia. Meanwhile, questions are being raised about who is originally responsible for this incident, what their motives were, and whether if anyone else's, especially Putin's well-being is at stake in the wake of this attack in Russia's capital city.
