MOSCOW, RUSSIA: Darya Dugin, the daughter of one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s closest allies Alexander Dugin was assassinated near the village of Bolshiye Vyazyomy - on the outskirts of Moscow. The car explosion took place on Saturday night, August 20. Alexander Dugin, who is the former chief editor of the pro-Putin Tsargrad TV network, has been often dubbed as Putin’s brain.
 
Darya Dugin, according to The Daily Mail, was returning from a music and literary festival called ‘Tradition’ when her car was blown apart into pieces. Alexander Dugin’s daughter was reportedly behind the wheels for only 10 minutes before the detonation, as shared by Russian news outlet Baza. Alexander Dugin, who does not hold any official position in government, is considered the architect of the Russian-Ukraine war. The news of Putin's so-called 'Rasputin's daughter dying in a car explosion comes after a kamikaze drone strike hit Russia's Navy headquarters in Crimea on Saturday, August 20.

Daughter of Putin’s ally killed in car explosion

Pictures of the car Darya Dugin’s car explosion soon hit the Internet and it was learned that her father Alexander Dugin was present at the scene. The latter apparently decided to commute in a different vehicle at the very last minute, as per Russian media reported by the BBC. It is still not clear whether Alexander was the target of the attack or not.
 
According to The Daily Mail, Denis Pushilin, head of the pro-Kremlin breakaway Donetsk People's Republic in eastern Ukraine, accused Ukrainian 'terrorists' of 'blowing up' Dugin's daughter. On Telegram, he wrote, “The terrorists of the Ukrainian regime, trying to eliminate Alexander Dugin, blew up his daughter... In a car. Blessed memory of Daria, she is a real Russian girl!”  

The footage of Darya Dugin’s car explosion in Moscow showed her Land Cruiser Prado getting engulfed in flames. Her 60-year-old father was spotted at the scene. He can be seen in a state of shock as emergency services arrived at the scene of the burning wreck of a vehicle.
 
Speaking of Darya, she was sanctioned by the US Treasury after she became chief editor of the United World International (UWI) website. The site is reportedly owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin. The latter is suspected of interfering in the 2016 election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Darya was always outspoken about her support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
