'You're off mate': Virgin pilot leaves cockpit to kick out 'unruly' passenger in wild viral video
TOWNSVILLE, AUSTRALIA: An in-flight incident has been going viral on the internet, and shows a scuffle between a flyer and staff members of Virgin Australia. As per reports, the passenger was so rowdy that the pilot had to come out of the cockpit to literally push him out with the help of an air hostess and another passenger.
The incident reportedly happened Wednesday evening, January 4, as the airplane was about to fly from Townsville Airport in Queensland. A video of the incident has been posted on TikTok, with the caption, “One too many mate,” which apparently shows the unidentified passenger engaging in an argument with the flight staff members.

The person in yellow crocs and a bucket hat also reportedly began misbehaving with the pilot and took hold of his shirt. Despite being told "You're off mate", the passenger did not buzz and added, “I didn’t do nothing c***.” But soon after that, he was taken off the flight as the passenger continued to scream, “Don't f***ing touch me you stupid c***.”
‘It's still awful to deal with’
Though it’s not yet known what initiated the fight, a spokesperson for Virgin Australia told Daily Mail Australia, “The safety of guests and crew is our number one priority and we have zero tolerance for any type of unruly behaviour on Virgin Australia flights. Incidents are referred to the Australian Federal Police or State Police where appropriate.”
Meanwhile, the video attracted a few comments with a TikToker writing, “Damn crew did amazing, they shouldn't have to deal with this... that female flight attendant was fiercely awesome.” The second one said, “Well done to the crew, even though we're trained for this, it's still awful to deal with.”
The third user sarcastically shared, “He'll love catching the bus to his future holiday destinations,” and the fourth one commented, “Cabin crew do not deserve this behaviour, thank goodness for the pilot for stepping in.”
There were a few reactions on Twitter as well as a person posted, “The passenger should be banned from flying in every airline in the country. Only solution. Just saying.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Turning more and more into America.” “Pilots are the ruler of law in the air, so be it. Passenger should read Conditions of Carriage of airlines next time before such actions. There is no place for this in our airline industry. @Qantas @VirginAustralia @RexAirlines @AusFedPolice @QldPolice,” a tweet added.
