SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: A shocking CCTV footage shows the last moments of tech entrepreneur Bob Lee, who was fatally stabbed in San Francisco. In the video, the tech mogul can be seen stumbling toward a car and pleading for help as the driver speeds off before he falls on the street. Lee, 43, was stabbed at Rincon Hill, a residential area near Google's headquarters with a few pubs and restaurants around, which is right outside the financial district.

San Francisco Standard was able to obtain surveillance camera footage of Lee frantically pleading for help in the early hours of Tuesday, April 4. Lee was observed strolling up Main Street close to Rincon Park and the Ferry Building while holding his phone in one hand and grabbing his side with the other at around 2.30 am, according to San Francisco Standard. In the video, Lee approaches a white Toyota Camry, which some have believed might be a ride share he contacted for assistance as he crosses the intersection with Harrison Street. Lee lifts his shirt to show his stab wounds, and the car drives away.

'Police are actively investigating'

Lee finally stumbles up the hill and falls in front of the Portside, an apartment complex of apartments at 403 Main Street. There have been no arrests made by San Francisco police in relation to Lee's death. They stated, "Police responded to the stabbing on Main Street around 2.35 am to find a man with stab wounds. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died," according to DailyMail.

The death of Lee was officially announced by San Francisco Mayor London Breed, according to Fox News. She stated, "The homicide of Bob Lee is a horrible tragedy and my sympathies go out to his family and friends. The police are actively investigating what happened and will share details as soon as they can."

'My heart is broken tonight'

Many people have reacted to the unfortunate death of Lee, including Elon Musk, who even addressed Brooke Jenkins, the district attorney for San Francisco, about what she is doing to "incarcerate repeated violent offenders." He tweeted, "Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted."

Musk continued, "Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately. Is the city taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders @BrookeJenkinsSF?"

Musk had reacted to a tweet from former MMA fighter Jake Shields, who described the tech boss as a "loyal friend" in a tweet. Shields wrote, "I just found out my good friend was killed last night while walking him in San Francisco He was in the 'good' part of the city and appeared to have been targeted in a random mugging/attack F**k San Francisco."

The IT executive's heartbroken friend and coworker Joshua Goldbard tweeted, "My heart is broken tonight." In a series of seven tweets, he also wrote several other things, including, "For now, I'm going to try to close my eyelids. Bob, wherever you are, I love you and I miss you. I hope I'll see you again at the crossroads brother."

Goldbard even mentioned in the tweet that a comprehensive write-up will be published tomorrow. Bill Barhydt tweeted, "Bob was a dad, the former CTO of Square where he created Cash App & CTO of Mobile Coin.  He was a generous decent human being who didn't deserve to be killed."
