'Vanderpump Rules' fans questioned James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss's decision to get engaged when they were clearly having problems in relationship

Despite the many highs and lows in their relationship, 'Vanderpump Rules' stars James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss surprised everybody by sticking together. Raquel firmly stood by James side and helped him get through his addiction, and even put up with his temper issues. So, when season 9 of 'Vanderpump Rules' kicked off with the couple announcing their engagement and the finale episode featured their extravagant engagement party, fans were thrilled for the couple.

Just as things seemed to be going well for the couple, James and Raquel shocked everybody by announcing that they decided to part ways. This explosive news was first revealed while filming for the season 9 reunion of the Bravo show. When James and Raquel announce their split, the couple didn't get into the reasons behind their decision and kept it very vague. Fans finally got to learn how things unfolded between the two and what prompted Raquel to not only call off their engagement but also their relationship. The model explained during the reunion that things between James and her haven't been great for a while and mentioned that they weren't having sex anymore.

Everybody was surprised on hearing that the couple weren't having sex. The reunion's host- Andy Cohen went ahead and asked them since how long ago they haven't had sex. Raquel left everybody shocked when she replied saying ever since James sent her rage texts. Scheana Shay and Andy pointed out that James' rage texts were from two summers ago, Raquel quietly nodded. James weighed in by recounting how when he asked Raquel if they were soulmates, she said no. She also confessed to having nightmares about their wedding, which finally pushed her to call off things with the DJ.

Just like Andy and the rest of the 'Vanderpump Rules' cast, fans too were shocked on hearing that James and Raquel haven't had sex in two years. Fans also began questioning why the couple decided to get engaged when they were clearly having problems in their relationship. A fan wondered, "WOW!
