UVALDE, TEXAS: Adriana Martinez, mother of gunman Salvador Ramos had an emotional confrontation with one of the Robb Elementary School shooting victims’ family members. Ramos killed 19 children and two adults at Robb Elementary School on May 24. Martinez was on the road carrying some things in her hands when Amerie Jo Garza's family called her out. She then told them, “You have no right to judge my son! May God forgive y'all.”

As per footage by Telemundo, the mass killer’s mother was walking when a black SUV stopped to approach her. Some people came out of the vehicle while some remained inside but rolled down their windows and began yelling at Martinez. One of the relatives of the ten-year-old girl said, “What reason did he have? Because he was pissed off at you? Because you destroyed him?”

Another family member screamed, “What reason did he have to kill 21 [people],” to which the gunman’s mother answered, “I didn't know,” before adding, “I know my son was a coward. You don't think I don't know that? I know. You don't think I'm carrying all that with me? You don't think I don't know. I know. And I'm sorry.”

It has been said that Garza's family was returning from a meeting with families of other minor victims when they had the face-off with Martinez. Earlier, soon after the tragedy, Ramos's mother had spoken to CNN and said that the young man “had his reasons for doing what he did and please don't judge him.” “I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me. Forgive me, forgive my son. I know he had his reasons. Instead of paying attention to the other bad things, I have no words. I don't know,” she had noted.

Also, earlier, Martinez had told DailyMail.com from San Antonio, “My son wasn't a violent person. I'm surprised by what he did. I pray for those families. I'm praying for all of those innocent children, yes I am. They [the children] had no part in this.”

This comes as a disturbing video of the mass shooting leaked recently, disclosing a lot of shocking details, like police waiting for over an hour before gunning down the murderer. But Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin instead of questioning law enforcement slammed the media during a city council meeting on July 12. He said: “The way that video was released today is one of the most chicken things I've ever seen. Yes, I've wanted the video released but all these news agencies knew that we were working with the House committee.”

“There was no reason for those families to have to see that. They were going to see the video but they didn't need to see the gunman coming in and hear the gunshots. They don't need to relive that. They've been through enough. And that was the most chicken way to put this video out today. It was very unprofessional. In my opinion, it was very unprofessional, which this investigation has been, in my opinion, since Day One,” McLaughlin had added.
