'Unpolished': Is Lexi Martone overworked? Fans say Bria should 'stop p**sing money away for a stupid wedding'

Between endless new clients and piling bills, Lexi Martone struggles to keep the salon afloat while Bria continues to spend recklessly on her lavish wedding

Lexi Martone is easily one of the most talented nail technicians on the scene. From disco ball nails to making a literal treasure chest, there's a little the Martone can't do and she's always up for a challenge. The pandemic has not been easy on businesses and turns out, Salon Martone is no exception to this. After the passing away of Big Mike Martone, the family genuinely seems to be struggling to hold it together, seeing that Big Mike handled all the finances and didn't equip his family to do the same. With Bria's upcoming wedding and piling bills, Jennifer Martone seems to be at her wit's end as she struggles to keep the family afloat.

But on the latest episode, they might all just be in deeper water than expected. While Jennifer is in the process of balancing her books, she realizes that if the salon doesn't bring in more money soon, the business might be in jeopardy. When the salon opened its doors after the initial lockdown, business seemed to be booming, seeing that people were quick to indulge in their services. However, the crowds quickly began to thin out as having a disposable income is now a luxury and so are salon visits. In light of that, Jennifer comes to what she believes is the only viable solution, have Lexi work more, seeing that Bria is too busy with her wedding. Jennifer makes it clear she's banking on Lexi to bring in more clients and money since it might be the only way for them to survive.

Lexi, on the other hand, already seems to be struggling. She was unable to finish a client's custom set of theme park nails which was a first on this season and quite surprising because Lexi prides herself on her professionalism. Later in the episode, Jennifer sits her daughter down to talk about their predicament and how she'll be required to work more. This did not sit well with Lexi, seeing that there was a more obvious solution, that is don't fund Bria's wedding and use the money to help the salon instead. She got into a heated argument with her mother, claiming that she has always put Bria and her needs over hers and she was done dealing with it. Jennifer broke down and confessed it was not the case, but Lexi having held on to situations from the past and her current predicament, was not hearing any of it. 

As the drama played out, fans were quick to offer their support and take her side in the matter. "I 100% agree with Lexi, and I hate to see her reach her breaking point. Really breaks my heart to see, no one deserves to be under that much pressure.😤💔 #Unpolished" tweeted a fan in support. "Lexi- you always put Bria first The mom- what does she mean? How does she expect me to know how she feels? Well, I have to finish helping Bria’s wedding She answered her own question #unpolished" said another, calling Jennifer Martone out. "I 100% agree with Lexi, that would also piss me the hell off if I was in her shoes being told that. The wedding can wait when it comes to running a business, especially during a pandemic #Unpolished" agreed another. "I feel so bad for the amount of stress Lexi must be under regarding money & the salon. Meantime Bria is pissing money away for a stupid wedding #Unpolished" tweeted a fan, pointing out the obvious issue. 

Others felt like there was an alternate solution- Lexi should just leave. "@leximartone should strike out on her own! Mom and Bria need to work. Oh, take Foxy with you Lexi! #Unpolished" tweeted a fan. "Lexi should move the salon to Brooklyn I feel like she would be able to get more high end clients. Williamsburg bitches would pay MONEYYYY for those nails @leximartone #unpolished" tweeted another, providing what they felt was a much-needed solution.
