Ukraine has posted a fake movie depicting what would happen if Russia attacked Paris as a warning of what may happen if Putin is not stopped. According to the Daily Mail, the movie is an attempt to bring the Russian invasion of Ukraine closer to home for Europeans and it also urges countries to restrict Ukraine's airspace. The footage shows a lady standing near the Eiffel Tower only seconds before numerous explosions rock the area. With the hit, the woman dives for shelter and the camera shakes. Other mock-up clips show bombs landing on Parisian buildings, the Eiffel Tower catching fire in the wake of an explosion and air raid sirens blaring across the city as more bombs fall.

Planes pass overhead, crying children and screaming adults heard in the background. "Just think if this were to happen in another European capital," the caption says at the end of the video. Following then, remarks from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksyy were shown. It states, "We will fight till the end. Giving us a chance to live. Close the sky over Ukraine, or give us air fighters. If we fall, you fall." Oleksandr Merezhko, the chairman of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Committee, uploaded the video while adding, "We also thought that it could never happen."

Social media was quick to react as one wrote, “Well if it does happen, Russia will feel the heat off God knows how many nuclear warheads get fired back at them, and they know it! As it stands, in the eyes of Russia, Ukraine is there for the taking. Weapons supplied to Ukraine by the west, makes Ukraine a tricky opponent! 🤔” “You don't have to make that video in your own imagination. Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, experienced that in 1999 when NATO was barbaric bombed my city, the capital of Serbia, without the permission of the United Nations Security Council !!!” another added.

Many users however joked and criticized the fake video. One user wrote, “lol. The building exploded before the plane got there.. the "bomb" will have drag after being released. it's not even a good fake...but no one talking about this” “Just declare neutrality already and stop this war with diplomatic means.” another user suggested. Yet another person added, “But … you said you were winning the war… isn’t it?!?!?! Plz make up your mind - you are winning it or losing it 🤷‍♂️”

President Zelenskyy has already warned that Putin would not stop in Ukraine, and he has asked other European nations to join the anti-Russian opposition. Lesia Vasylenko, a Ukrainian MP, had compared Putin's invasion to the outbreak of World War II, claiming that history was repeating itself. She said on TheTimes, "I don't understand what is wrong with us humans and humanity why we don't learn from the lessons. History is just repeating itself time and time again. A year ago, eight years ago was the time to [stop Putin], but nobody wanted to get involved. This is the same as 1938 when also the world and the United States, in particular, were averting their eyes from what was being done by Hitler and his Nazi Party. And then they stepped in when the death toll was going up by the millions."

In recent days, the Russian military has moved closer to Kyiv. While a 40-mile military convoy heading for the capital looked to be stuck, it has now split up in an attempt to encircle the city. The majority of the army was only 25 kilometers from the city center. According to the Times, Russians will encounter a 'fortress' according to defenders within the city. President Zelenskyy refused to leave Kyiv, according to The Guardian, insisting that Russia could only seize the city if it 'razes it to the ground.' "We know 100 percent that we will win," he concluded.
