MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: On Saturday, January 28, cops identified three Manhattan residents who were arrested in Times Square relating to the violent demonstrations at the protest following Tyre Nichols' death. After the Memphis officials released the bodycam footage of the fatal beatings, outrage sparked across the US on Saturday. Upon releasing the footage, it was warned by the police commissioner of Memphis that the visuals displayed “acts that defy humanity.”

Times Square, Union Square and Grand Central Terminal, and Memphis were the major areas where protestors rallied around. Protesting against the cops involved in the tragic incident and the brutality shown in the footage, protestors went on to shut down the Memphis-Arkansas bridge. Refusing to step back, people blocked the bridge from both directions causing traffic on the highway. In the freezing cold on Friday night, January 27, dozens of protestors gathered outside one of the police precincts in Chicago, USA Today reported.
