'Assisted Living' Episode 14 Preview: What new trouble is Sandra getting into after nearly getting trafficked?
After sneaking out of the house with her brother Phillip (Alex Henderson) in tow to meet her creepy, gross bus driver of a crush, Sandra (Tayler Buck) is out doing nonsense once again. The difference is, this time it's a more age-appropriate crush. But that doesn't mean her mother Leah (Courtney Nichole) is having any less to worry about — or so teases the official synopsis of the upcoming Episode 14 of Tyler Perry's latest sitcom 'Assisted Living'.
According to the official synopsis provided by BET, Episode 14 titled 'A Huge Debt' will focus on the action as "Leah tries tracking Sandra's cell phone when she comes up missing." We get the 'rebellious teen throwing attitude' thing, but this sneaking out and pulling a disappearing act is getting kind of repetitive, even for Sandra.
The reason behind Sandra lashing out is obvious though; as their stay in Georgia continues to get more and more final, the teen starts rebelling harder just to give her parents a difficult time. She wants their life back in Chicago where things were better for her and a social circle more defined. Right now her only life is the dilapidated titular facility where her father is scrambling to make a proper business out of it because Grandpa Vinny (J Anthony Brown) is too whimsical to do anything about it.
Let's not forget all the commotion prospective buyer Mr Brown (David Mann) caused recently with burning Grandpa Vinny's backyard weed nursery, and getting a marijuana high that somewhat resembled a crack bender and such is Sandra's scope for entertainment in this town. Her parents, protective as ever, and cautious now after she almost got trafficked, don't exactly want to let her out of their sight — thus only spurring Sandra's rebellion.
Still, to give her mother Leah a heart attack almost every single episode isn't called for. The last we saw Sandra, she was texting some new guy and this whole missing act the synopsis teases about is probably to go out and meet the same person — meaning after stressing over Grandpa Vinny's reaction to finding out his weed was burnt, Leah has more anxiety on the way. Should be fun!
