Tyler Greer: NJ man arrested after he ran over spectator while doing 'donuts' on Manhattan street
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: A 22-year-old man was arrested after he reportedly ran his car over a spectator while performing the dangerous 'donuts' stunt on a street in Manhattan. Tyler Greer, a New Jersey resident, has been charged with assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment in relation to the accident that left the victim Christopher Brito badly injured.
The disturbing visuals of the surveillance video show 23-year-old Brito accidentally tripping and hitting the ground directly in the way of the red two-door Infiniti that Greer was maneuvering, the police said. In an attempt to capture a closer angle of Greer's stunt, Brito tripped on his path fracturing his ribs and skull. As of now, Brito has undergone operations on both his arms but still needs reconstructive surgery for his face.

According to the police, following the accident at the intersection of Vandam and Greenwich Streets in Hudson Square, Tyler Greer fled the scene, leaving Brito in a pool of blood. Brito was quickly taken to Bellevue Hospital.
Later, on Wednesday, Greer turned himself in at the 1st Precinct station house and was escorted by his family and girlfriend. He was additionally charged with fleeing the scene of an accident but his lawyer argued that Greer had no idea he had hit had Brito before leaving the accident scene.
“He had no idea the kid was even on the floor. He [was] concentrating on keeping the car in the circle. He didn't know [that he had hit Brito] until after the fact. Everyone told him to leave, get out of here,” Greer's lawyer Nicholas Ramcharitar told the Daily News.
Jacqueline Brito, the victim’s mother, said that his “skull was cracked and his arms, ribs, nose, and pelvis are broken. It's horrible. His forehead is broken and his nose is broken too.” On the GoFundMe page for Britto that seeks $30,0000, the family has now raised more than $15,000.
Jacqueline described her son as “outgoing, kind, smart, hardworking, respectful, motivated and dedicated especially when it comes to his sneakers.” She revealed that Britto is slowly improving from the time he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. “If I tell him to shake his head, he starts shaking it 'yes'," she told the Post. 'He can also move his finger,” she added.
According to Greer's description on his Facebook account, he is a car enthusiast, who formerly worked as an automotive service technician at a national chain mechanic shop.
