NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The New York Post deliberately snubbed Donald Trump by downplaying the significance of the former president's announcement to run for president for the third time. Trump's speech announcing his 2024 presidential run was reduced to a little banner at the bottom of the NY Post cover page that read, "Florida Man Makes Announcement."

The Rupert Murdoch -owned tabloid, noted for its blunt headlines and covers, published its latest issue on Wednesday, emphasizing gang violence and crime in New York. Except for a brief section at the bottom informing readers that a "Florida guy makes declaration" and directing them to page 26 if they are interested in learning more, the front page did not mention a word about Trump or his announcement.

Trump's announcement of a new presidential campaign on Tuesday, November 15, vindicated the long-held predictions of the political establishment. However, many conservatives didn't find the former president's address to be particularly motivating. The coverage in the Post added injury to insult by concentrating on such comments in addition to Ivanka Trump's declaration that she won't be supporting her father's campaign this time.

The headline given by New York Post is being hailed by netizens on Twitter. One user wrote, "I have a love-hate relationship with the New York Post. Today I love them. "Florida Man Makes Announcement.""

Another tweet said, "The New York Post read ,"Florida man makes announcement" lmao perfect ! Now,if the rest of the Media world would do the same! Do not give him free advertising! He counts on it! He seeks it with the crazy stuff he says! Don't feed the beast! Thank you, New York Post!"

Maggie Haberman, a CNN commentator and New York Times correspondent, commented on the shocking New York Post cover depicting former president Donald Trump as a "Florida man," after Don Lemon read it aloud to laughter in the studio, Media ITE reported.

Since the Republican Party did not see the "red wave" they were anticipating in the midterm elections, The Post has adopted a critical stance towards Trump. The underperformance of the GOP has been attributed to the former president's toxic personality by a number of Murdoch's other media outlets, and the move has raised new concerns about whether Trump should continue to be the face of the Republican Party.
