Tinder is dated. So are other dating apps that gained momentous popularity in the past few years. People are now resorting to older social media platforms to find their forever love, as evident from the hashtag #Twinder trending on Twitter for hours. Pioneered by organizer and educator Cherrell Brown aka Big Relly, the idea did not take long to captivate the regular users of the micro-blogging site. "Alright, the #twinder rules: post pic(s) along w/area & what you’re looking for — a date? homegirls? Brunch buddies? winter time boo? A third? I encourage folks to let it be known if you’re strictly het. Add the hashtag #twinder so other participants can find you!" Brown wrote while proposing the idea.

"#Twinder has spawned dozens of friendships, relationships, some engagements and a few trips to the alter! So go get your fav selfies together, and get ready to PLAY!!!," she added about the concept of Twitter dating. While many netizens definitely warmed up to the idea and promptly tweeted their photos and personal details, some decided to play around by sparking a meme fest. From Jason Voorhees to Doge, Twitterati hilariously imagined the Twinder profiles of their favorite pop culture characters.

One user shared a photo of the Nintendo character Donkey Kong with his imagined Twinder bio, "#Twinder Male, Donkey Kong Island. Interests: Banana, Naps, Boombox, Banana, Candy Kong, Coconut, Go-Kart, Banana, Naps, NOT my dad."

"Male, just provide your location. I'm a hoot in the bedroom. #Twinder," wrote another, sharing a photo of a creepy birthday clown. A third user imagined the Twinder profile for Brian Griffin and shared, "A Keto Jet-setter, a bon vivant plus a aspiring screenwriter whose too quick witted for his own good Hoping for rubs & love in all the wrong places Dancer & Equestrian I'm also boostered including ticks fleas & Rabies Favorite Song by Tony Bennett The Lady is a Tramp #Twinder."

Another user tweeted a viral photo of Daniel Radcliffe walking his dogs, writing, "30-something trans-literal femme-FUPA seeking people who have great dogs I can hang out with. Just the dogs, please."

Someone got a little bit too much invested in the idea of Twinder and invested quite some time to come up with a bio for Jason Voorhees, the terrifying masked villain from the Friday The 13th movies. "75 (technically) looking for relationships and to meet new people. Really tall, a little on the quiet side, expert marksman, Hate water, mommy issues. Catch me on a Friday sometime! #Twinder," the user wrote.

"The f**k is #twinder? Alright here it goes: Retro Doge, 4.25 years old, bisexual af. I love sushi, long walkies, and barking at my own sleep paralysis demon. If you're in the greater Houston area and love to give head pats, I'm the Doge for you," read the reimagined Twinder bio for Doge.
