Prime Minister of Israel Naftali Bennett invited US President Joe Biden to visit Israel in their meeting at the White House on Friday, August 27. Now a video of Biden sleeping during the conference is going viral on the Internet, making people wonder if he actually slept while the important discussion was going on.

During the conference, Bennett said the leaders were able to make a connection that will enhance US-Israel ties and their work together, and that he can call Biden directly. “It was an excellent feeling, especially one-on-one,” Bennett said. “It felt like we knew each other a long time.” “Bennett and I have become close friends,” Biden told the press as the meeting was in progress. He said that “We’re also going to discuss [the] unwavering commitment that we have in the United States to Israel’s security” and added that “ways to advance peace and security and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians” were also on the agenda.

On Saturday, August 28, after many Republicans and Twitter users posted a video of the meeting where Biden was seen dozing off, Raw Story reported that this was misinformation that was been spread by the Republicans. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) cited the video in her demand that Biden should be removed from office, as she tweeted, "Remove Joe Biden immediately! Our country is in danger being controlled by a man who can’t even stay awake in a meeting with Israel’s Prime Minister. We have already seen his decisions as Commander in Chief! 13 dead & our military demoralized! #ImpeachBiden or 25th now!" Rep. Lauren Boebert also pushed the disinformation online ans said, "Wake up, Joe. You have a resignation letter to sign!"

Some Twitter users spotted that the video was tailored and pointed out that the video where Biden's eyes were closed, her hands were moving, one person said, "His hands are moving." Another one supported Biden and said "Nope. Wrong again. It’s called listening respectfully and intently. Biden answers immediately. Post the whole clip and you’ll see that’s a lie."

While some supported Biden, many people slammed the President and said, "This ya'll boy. Yall elected this. This is who yall defending. Man don't ever let me see another ballot with my name on it. If I see one, im just gonna leave it on the mailbox. I'm... just so disappointed. I'm not pissed (even though I should be) I'm not mad... im just... sad." Another one said, "Trump was right when he called him Sleepy Joe."
