'Truth Be Told' Episode 4: Let's recount all clues left behind by Apple TV+ show to find out what's next
If you're like me, you've already binged on all three episodes of 'Truth Be Told' and are waiting for what the Apple TV+ show is planning to surprise us with, next. And, truth be told — pun intended — we have all the clues we need to predict what is to come in the future episodes.
Warren Cave is innocent
Clearly someone does not want the actual truth to be unveiled, which is why we saw Warren (Aaron Paul) getting shanked in prison in Episode 2. He was the convenient fall guy for a gruesome crime, and thankfully, Poppy (Octavia Spencer) is trying to expose the actual murderer and get his case reopened. Hopefully, before the end of the season, we will see him walk free.
Poppy's ugly demons will rear its head
Poppy is no ordinary hero. Over the first three episodes, we've seen her toe the line of grey many times over, and we sure we will see more of it in the episodes to come. We're predicting a below-the-belt attack on her husband, and potentially a separation as well. She may potentially also get uncomfortably close to her ex, who she is now closely working with.
Shreve has Alzheimer's
Even though Poppy tried to find out the truth about what is happening with her father from her sisters, she is yet to find out what ails him. The way Shreve (Ron Cephas Jones) reacted to Poppy early on in the series is a textbook reaction that people in the early stages of Alzheimer's react. While it is under control now, soon his wife will not be able to cover it from others or even Shreve himself.
The Owen Cave mystery
At this point in the series, it is pretty obvious that Owen (Brett Cullen) is the real murderer and that he pinned it on his son to protect himself. However, it is too early on in the season for a crime series to reveal its real killer. That being said, the show is focused on investigation and it may just be that the narration prioritizes how Poppy assumed he is the killer instead of her figuring out the real murderer.
What are the Burhman twins hiding?
The true story of what happened on the night that Chuck (Nic Bishop) was killed will be revealed when we know what exactly the Burhman (Lizzy Caplan) twins are hiding. While they both have tried to leave the past behind, one of them is quite seemingly scared of the other and wants nothing to do with her. She has gone to great lengths to protect her identity. Poppy will hopefully pry it out of them by hook or crook, especially since Lanie has tracked Josie, who wants to be left alone. Does the latter know the former had something to do with their father's murder?
We will hopefully find out in the coming episodes. Episode 4 of 'Truth Be Told' premieres on Friday, December 14.
