Just hours before President Donald Trump bust out a couple of dance moves to Village People's 'YMCA' on Monday, October 13, at a rally in Sanford, Florida, which marked his return to the campaign trail following his COVID-19 diagnosis earlier in the month, supporters of Trump released the new ‘MAGA Theme 2020’ anthem on social media over the weekend which was a re-recording the ‘YMCA’ song with new lyrics featuring ‘M-A-G-A!’

The lyrics chosen by the Trump supporters to replace the old ones went something like, “Young man. Walk away from the hate. We’re all human, and we don’t segregate. Just like women help make America great. We’re all in this together. Our colors are red, white, and blue. They stand for every one of you. Together, here’s what we’re gonna do, We’re gonna make America great! Everybody sing ‘M-A-G-A!’” The new video was uploaded to YouTube. You can watch it below.

The revamped video was met with a number of hilarious reactions on social media, most of them pointing out the fact that the song was related to the LGBTQ community as people wondered if the Trump supporters were aware of its history. "Do they know it’s a song about gay men?" one of them wrote, while another quipped, "This actually happened? Will the new Village People lineup be opening for the rest of Trump’s rallies? Will supporters be wearing rainbows on red shirts & shaking their booties to the voting booths? And when will my Y reopen?" A third remarked, "So you are supporting gay rights now?"

Another pointed out, "I reckon somebody finally read the lyrics and went, 'Oops!'" The next said, "I love that they are dancing to the gay theme song ! Pence must be thrilled!"

A video of Trump dancing to 'YMCA' went viral after it was uploaded by business owner Ryan Clark-Neal. "Me growing up at family parties trying to hold the gay in" he captioned the short clip where Trump appeared to be standing at one point on stage and moving his fisted hands to the beat of the music. With a smile on his face, he also points at the crowd in between the music.

Reacting to the clip of the president grooving, one wrote, "I thought he was moonwalking then but I realized it was just the camera moving." Another joked with a meme, writing, "Definitely got the same dance teacher me and him." A third said, "Those knee pops are a dead give away. Too on the groove." Someone else commented, "Young man? Is he trying to convince them or himself!" Another quipped, "Anyone else wants him to fall off the stage"

This was not the first time that the president picked the specific song to dance to. While holding a rally in Middletown, Pennsylvania on Saturday night, September 26, he danced to the beats of the same song. Trump pulled out his dance moves in front of his supporters while celebrating his Supreme Court nomination. The POTUS continued to enjoy the song as he thanked and said goodbye to the people before leaving the place on Air Force One.
