President Donald Trump danced to the beat of Village People’s classic "YMCA" while holding a rally in Middletown, Pennsylvania on Saturday night, September 26. The president pulled out his dance moves in front of his supporters while celebrating his Supreme Court nomination. The POTUS continued to enjoy the song as he thanked and said goodbye to the people before leaving the place on Air Force One. Trump was reportedly celebrating his Supreme Court victory lap after announcing Amy Coney Barrett as his official nominee to replace late Justice Ruth Brader Ginsburg, who died on September 18.

"Today it is my honor to nominate one of our nation's most brilliant and gifted legal minds to the Supreme Court," he said in the Rose Garden earlier on September 26. He added: “If confirmed, Justice Barrett will make history as the first mother of school-age children ever to serve on the US Supreme Court,” and dubbed Barrett as a "woman of unparalleled achievement". The 74-year-old also thanked her kids for "sharing your incredible mom with our country."

After Trump’s address, Barrett went on to the stage to show her gratitude towards Trump for nominating her. She said she was "deeply honored" and added, “I love the United States and I love the United States constitution. I am truly humbled by the prospect of serving on the Supreme Court." The 48-year-old also acknowledged the works of Ginsburg and stated: “Should I be confirmed I will be mindful of who came before me."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell also said a few words of praise for the mother-of-seven while applauding Trump’s decision. “Judge Amy Coney Barrett is an exceptionally impressive jurist and an exceedingly well-qualified nominee to the Supreme Court. A brilliant scholar. An exemplary judge. President Trump could not have made a better decision."

According to The Sun, sources familiar with the schedule said confirmation hearings for Judge Barrett will be held by the Senate Judiciary Committee in the week of October 12 that is Monday. They mentioned that the hearing will begin on October 12, before ending on Thursday, October 15. If confirmed by the Senate, Barrett will become the sixth justice on the nine-member court appointed by a Republican. She will also be the third judge being chosen by Trump in his first term in office, in addition to being the only justice without a law degree from an Ivy League school. Her other to-be colleagues have degrees either from Harvard or Yale.

Meanwhile, it was not the first time Trump has danced to the tunes of the YMCA. In his other rallies also, he has not shied away from showing his moves and received mixed comments from people on Twitter. “I always have to wait to my favorite part.  President Trump making those dance moves to #ymca,” wrote one user. Another said: “Can anyone tell me why Donald Trump uses the song YMCA as an exit song at his rallies? Do they even know what it’s about? Gees @realDonaldTrump the least you can do is learn how to dance to it then. Your moves are so.....argh.”

“I love the YMCA Trump dance!” tweeted a third user while a fourth person added: “Trump, you rock!!! ♥️♥️♥️ Fun watching you dance with YMCA song!!!”
