Coca-Cola and Donald Trump are well-known best buddies. In fact, the former President was so fond of the beverage he even had a special button installed at the Resolute Desk during his time at the White House. The button would allow Trump to summon up a coke at whim right from the Oval Office but was removed by President Biden when he moved in.

However, things haven't been that great between the two of late. Following much public pressure, Coke issued a statement against Georgia's new voting law, angering Republicans including the former President. On April 1, CEO James Quincy said, "we want to be crystal clear and state unambiguously that we are disappointed in the outcome of the Georgia voting legislation." That led Trump to issue a statement saying, "It is finally time for Republicans and Conservatives to fight back—we have more people than they do—by far! Boycott Major League Baseball (MLB), Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck."

Despite the calls to boycott Coke, it seems like Trump is the first to back out. Stephen Miller, Trump's former advisor posted a photo from his recent visit to Mar-a-Lago. In the picture, a tiny replica statue of himself can be spotted behind a desk that looks like the iconic Oval Office's Resolute Desk. If you look carefully, you can see what appears to be a Coke bottle hidden behind Trump's phone on his replica Resolute Desk.

The image has now got the attention of netizens, with many trolling Trump for walking back on his threat. There are plenty of other interesting objects in the image, the first we have got of Trump's post-presidential office at Mar-a-Lago. The same chair he used in the Oval Office is now with him at Mar-a-Lago. Also visible are the many military challenge coins he issued during his time in office. Trump also has what looks like a piece of his infamous border wall with a plaque on it.

You'd also find it impossible to miss the photo of Mount Rushmore, which Trump wanted to be a part of. However, nothing seems to be as eye-catching as the bottle of Coke. Apart from his 'coke button', the BLT Prime restaurant inside the Trump International Hotel has a seven-step process to serve Coke to Trump. This clearly seems to be a case of old habits die hard, as Twitter noticed.

Within minutes of the image being published, many attacked and trolled the former President for continuing to drink Coke after calling for its boycott.

'Trump can only function on Diet Coke'

On seeing the image, one person tweeted, "Quick, dummy — hide the Coke bottle!" Another said, "Trump can't even hide a can of coke without screwing it up". Another person joked, "You have to remember that Trump can only function on Diet Coke." One person said, "Still laughing from Trump boycotting and then hiding a Coke bottle behind his phone. I'm surprised Johnny Damon wasn't visible under Trump's desk with a Delta flight parked outside the window too."

Some users were a bit more critical. One person tweeted, "The Con continues, true to the Trump brand.  Guess who is not boycotting Coke but wants his naive gullible followers to give it up? Hidden behind phone at FYI: It is all a con". Shots were also taken at Don Jr.. One user tweeted, "Donald Trump: We have to boycott Coke. Donald Trump Jr.: *lifts his head up from a desk* I don't think I can do that..." Another said, "Jr. snorts Coke, Trump drinks coke."

"He was quite clear on this point. Trump is boycotting Coke. He is not boycotting Diet Coke" joked another user. One more said, "Miller's suit doesn't fit, blank papers on the desk, and oh, a diet coke hiding behind the phone. You little people boycott coke. Trump will not be inconvenienced."

It's safe to assume that Trump and Coke are still best friends and that the boycott was simply a temporary call from the former POTUS. As with all things Trump, old habits are almost impossible to change. That goes for his self-love as well, you can see a statue of Trump behind Miller.
