Trump is scared of Melania because she 'does not cry' and 'disappears' when she gets mad, new book claims

Mary Jordan's new book 'The Art of Her Deal' also debunks the myth that the mother-of-one shed tears when her husband was elected president in 2016

Instead of being the trophy wife that everyone makes her out to be, Melania Trump is a force to be reckoned with and makes President Donald Trump 'scared,' a new book about the FLOTUS said. Mary Jordan, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post author of 'The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump' told BBC that an estimate of the power that Melania holds can be assessed from the fact that she was the only person in the room beside her husband, representing the United States, when the meeting between the POTUS and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place on July 16, 2018, in Helsinki, Finland.

"I think she has unique power of him. She was the only person standing beside him when he spoke with Putin at length in Helsinki. There wasn't even an American translator present. She has been in the room for things where nobody else was there," Jordan said. The author also answered in the affirmative when asked during the interview if Trump was scared of his wife.

In the book, Jordan also debunked the myth that the mother-of-one shed tears when her husband was elected back in 2016. The rumor was that Melania became overwhelmed with emotions because she never wanted Trump to become the leader of the country. "That is absolutely wrong. I spoke with those with her on that night and quite the opposite happened. Also, speaking with her long-time friends, Melania does not cry. When she gets mad she just disappears," she said.

One of the instances which made her really angry was when she found out that her son, Barron, had found out reports of some of the alleged extra-marital affairs that his father was claimed to have had before he became the president. "Donald Trump needed her to back him up on those allegations of infidelity. She used that because Trump needed her support," Jordan said. "If she walked, and he was now a three-time divorced President, it wouldn't look good to his supporters."

We earlier reported that on October 7, 2016, Trump was "frightened" to confront his wife after he and his campaign staffers watched a clip of his 2005 interview with Billy Bush where he talks about how he tried to "f**k" a married woman, "moved on her like a b***h" and the line that made headlines on every major newspaper in the nation — "grab 'em by the p***y. You can do anything." It was a month before the people of the US were going to decide between then-presidential candidates, Trump and Hillary Clinton.

As the video went viral and Trump's campaign advisers scrambled to somehow put a lid on the story before it could drown his aspirations for the Oval Office, everyone was worried about one thing — Melania's retaliation. "If Melania walked out, the campaign was all but over. If she said she couldn't tolerate her husband's behavior, why should female voters?" the book said.

"That night he seemed frightened to go face his wife," a source told Jordan. The book added: "It took Trump two hours to finally step into the elevator." Sources with knowledge of how the first lady reacted, said that instead of yelling, Melania showed her "fury quietly and deliberately." "Now you could lose," she said to her husband "You could have blown this for us."

In contrast to 2016, Melania will have a larger, more active role in her husband's campaign trail this year. "She has said she will help fundraise and be more front and center. She always calculates what is good for Melania and Barron," Jordan told BBC.
