Dinesh D'Souza called an 'a**hole with no self-awareness' after he slams middle-school history teacher
Conservative writer Dinesh D'Souza seems to have dug a pit for himself with no way to crawl out after deciding to tweet back to a middle school teacher in a disrespectful manner. Twitter users, took charge and descended upon D'Souza, who was convicted in 2014 for violating campaign finance laws.
On January 26, 2021, D'Souza tweeted, "The left-wing historian @KevinMKruse routinely calls me names and insults my intellectual credentials so I thought I would do a comparison of the education and accomplishments of the two of us. Warning: This is not for the faint-of-heart," along with a video. To this, a user, who by his tweet seems to be a middle school teacher, wrote, "My middle school students are better historians than you."
D'Souza wasted no time replying to his tweet, slamming him saying, "You teach middle school and are weighing in here? Hahahahaha!" This of course, caught the attention of many on Twitter, who then proceeded to troll the man Trump had pardoned in 2018. In fact, the teacher himself replied to D'Souza's unnecessary tweet, writing, "Teaching middle school history is better than the garbage you spew. And I’m on a lunch break genius."

Twitter users slammed D'Souza
D'souza who's Twitter bio proudly reads, ""Trump Card" is an exposé of the socialism, corruption, and gangsterization that now define the Democratic Party. Available on DVD and VOD now," was heavily criticized for his comment. "Only an asshole with no self-awareness whatsoever would say what Dinesh D’Souza said here," wrote one user. Apparently, the tweet that D'Souza had posted had been a repeat and some took to the social media channel to remind him of that. ""Not for the faint-of-heart" says the dude who deleted an earlier version of this tweet when he got roasted for it." Many also saw the lack of necessity of his tweet to the middle school teacher, with one user writing, "So... Your defense for being attacked by a "left wing historian" is to attack a middle school teacher? Dinesh, be honest. How did you see that working out for you?" Another added, "Asshole. Middle school teachers have more dignity and respect than you. Stupid Dinesh"

People took to the social media channel to challenge D'souza's audacity with his comments, as they continued to troll his accomplishments. "Just think about it for a moment Dinesh. All of your life accomplishments will have no lasting impact after you die. But at least a middle school teacher will have taught something useful," wrote one user. Some even took it as far as bringing up D'Souza criminal record writing, "I’m sure you were taught in middle school or earlier not to break the law, but yet here we are," along with a picture. Other middle school teachers rallied in as well, with one writing, "As a middle school history teacher, FUCK YOU, Dinesh. At least I don’t have a criminal record."

Another quite simply added, "Dinesh couldn't teach at a middle school if he wanted to because, you know... criminal record." Not to mention his hypocrisy too was highlighted, as another user wrote, "Wait... I thought you railed against "elites" and now you're denigrating someone for teaching middle school? Do you make it a point to be hypocritical with every single thing you say?"

When and why was D'Souza pardoned by Donald Trump?
D'Souza who was earlier found guilty of an illegal campaign contribution to a New York politician worth $20,000 was sentenced to five years of probation after he had already admitted to committing the crime. On May 31, 2018, ex-president Donald Trump, had tweeted that he had pardoned D'Souza claiming injustice. The tweet now can't be seen considering Trump's account has been suspended, but this was all reported by various outlets in the year 2018, including BBC. The article also reported that D'Souza was prosecuted by then-US Attorney Preet Bharara who was first appointed by former president Barack Obama and then later fired by Trump in 2017.
Bharara had said that “Dinesh D’Souza attempted to illegally contribute over $10,000 to a Senate campaign, willfully undermining the integrity of the campaign finance process. Like many others before him, of all political stripes, he has had to answer for this crime – here with a felony conviction," in a statement. According to the Washington Journal, D'Souza said, "There is no American who has been prosecuted, let alone locked up, for doing what I did."
