Why can't Trump pronounce Thailand? Amid mental health rumors, jokes say his trip to ‘Thighland’ cost $130K

Donald Trump's pronunciations never fail to amuse us. The president has been scrutinized one too many times for getting names wrong and pronouncing them in an incorrect manner. Only two days after his goof-up at the White House, where he struggled to get the pronunciation of Yosemite right, POTUS has become a topic of discussion on the Internet for pronouncing Thailand as 'Thighland' in his recent video. 

The word 'Thighland' started to trend on Twitter after a video of Trump saying he would "move productions" to "Thighland and Vietnam" as he likes the leaders of these nations, surfaced on the Internet. 

Twitter users couldn't help but point out that Trump had once again messed up the name of another place, and sent in a few speculations that suggested the real reason behind Trump pronouncing 'Thailand' as 'Thighland'. Many took to Twitter to question Trump's mental health again and noted that to be the reason for his mispronunciation. One Twitter user replying to Chris Cuomo's tweet asked, "Why are you acting on TV right now as if Trump’s mental acuity is only now in question because of “thighland, Yo semites, and his comments on @JoeBiden when we have seen his diminished mental capacity since day one?! This is nothing new. I know you know that so what gives?"

Another wrote, "Thighland. Yo-Semite. Who’s lacking mental acuity?" 

Thailand, in particular, has been in focus because of rampant sex tourism there. On hearing Trump say "thigh" while pronouncing Thailand, one Twitter user has suggested that the president may have visited the brothels while touring the country. One Tweet read, "I saw that #Thighland was trending...and then saw why...I have some sort of feeling that our president has visited a few brothels in Bangkok."

A few even suggested that when Trump allegedly visited Thailand, he spent around $130,000. However, they haven't stated what he spent on, only teasing a little information which had many wondering if the president's alleged visit to Thailand was adventurous. 

"Someone else tweeted that the last time he visited Thighland, it cost him $130000." Another added ,"How's Thighland? 130000.00 get you in? Idiot. Next stop Yo Semite?"

Puns soon started flowing on Twitter after Trump's clip about "Thighand" went viral. One Twitter user joked, "Are there any travel agents who can book me a trip to Thighland? I'd like to stay as long as possible, so one-way is fine. #thighland". While another added, "After we meet up with the Chick-fil-A CEO in Thighland, we can head over to Yo-se-might National Park. Hopefully they don't have a ramp!" taking a dig at his West Point ramp walk.

Meanwhile, some were simply upset over the president not getting the names of places right on multiple occasions and how people who follow him are adapting to the trend only because their favorite leader said it a certain way. One tweeted, "What could be a better example of the sad sad cult than insisting Thighland is correct and adopting this new pronunciation?"

Adding to the previous tweet another irritated Twitter user wrote, "Smart people made up their minds about this election the day you slithered into the DC. No need for a debate or to see you stumble over 3rd grade words like YO-SEMITE or THIGHLand onstage to know we are VOTING FOR BIDEN. "
