A crazy Twitter trend started after Donald Trump addressed the press at a briefing in the White House Rose Garden on July 14. The President's address was initially intended to declare the Trump administration's action against China regarding Beijing's national security law on Hong Kong. However, it turned into an evaluation of Biden's campaign speech in Wilmington, Delaware earlier in the day, according to The Hill. The President spoke for an hour and four minutes and people who watched him were convinced that he's 'sick'. Shortly after, #TrumpIsNotWell started to trend on Twitter.

"He's consumed with misgivings...it's eating him up inside... #TrumpIsNotWell," wrote a user. While another commented, "Did anyone do neuro checks on #oldsickTrump after the press conference? Maybe had a TIA? #TrumpIsNotWell." NBC host Joe Scarborough wrote, "Trump drifted seemingly at random from one topic to another, often in the same run-on sentence. Even for a president who rarely sticks to the script and wanders from thought to thought, it was one of the most rambling performances of his presidency.” Another person wrote, "Not sure what you watched, most of us saw a sad pathetic old man ramble incoherently at a microphone making no sense #AmericanBananaRepublic #TrumpIsNotWell #AmericaOrTrump."

Some of the comments against Joe Biden in the President's address included, "He never did anything except make very bad decisions, especially on foreign policy. So Joe Biden and President Obama freely allowed China to pillage our factories, plunder our communities and steal our most precious secrets." About Biden advocating defunding of the military, Trump said, "Defunding, they want to defund our military when China is building a massive military. They’re building a massive military and Biden wants to defund our military and the world needs American strength right now, more than ever."

While defending his administration's response to the coronavirus, he said, "But if we had listened to Joe Biden, hundreds of thousands of additional lives would have been lost. And if you look at the job he did on swine flu, I looked at a poll. They have polls on everything nowadays and they got very bad marks on the job they did on the swine flu. H1N1, he calls it N1H1. H1N1 got very poor marks from Gallup on the job they did on swine flu. And they stopped very early on, testing. They totally stopped it. They just said stop. And frankly, if we didn’t test, you wouldn’t have all the headlines because we’re showing cases."
