The Covid-19 pandemic has caused thousands of deaths worldwide and while some are following healthcare precautions, others are demanding freedom from wearing masks. Amid the United States seeing a rise in coronavirus cases, many gathered at the celebration POTUS had at Mount Rushmore. The Internet couldn't help but notice that no precautions were being followed even though the pandemic is still a huge threat.

FOX Baltimore reported that Republican Gov Kristi Noem had already mentioned that masks would be optional at the event and social distancing wouldn't be a requirement. As photos of the event circulated online, many took to the social media channel to call out POTUS on his "lack of consideration" when it came to the lives of so many people.

"Trump really hates people. He is willing to bring many of his idiotic supporters, without masks, without social distancing, to their so-called "Celebration" at Mount Rushmore. It's not a celebration, it's a rally. Trump has no care for America, has no care for the Lakota people," wrote one user with another adding, "If you to see a death cult live, tune into trump’s “rally” at Mount Rushmore. A bunch of zombies squeezed close together. No masks. No social distancing. Only things missing are Jim Jones and Kool-Aid. But plenty of coronavirus going around." Many didn't hold back on the insults against the president, as even days leading up to the event, people were shocked at the lack of concern.

"Another shot of tonight’s COVID-19 feeding ground," tweeted a user with a picture of people crowded at the rally and very few were seen wearing masks.

Some used facts to talk sense into many getting ready to vote in the upcoming election. "An 11 year old boy died in Florida today of Covid19. Trump holds a rally at Mt Rushmore with no masks & no social distancing. His base cheers him on. 'What a long strange trip it's been', and this is the strangest & perhaps saddest stop along the way that I've ever seen!," wrote one user with another writing, "Don't you DARE tell me Trump's inept #coronavirus response is not deliberate No masks Packed arena No social distancing All for the glorification of Trump And the GOP, right there with him Would anyone be surprised if attendees at this rally die from COVID Mount Rushmore."

While it seems that Twitter will always continue to report on the political chaos the usage of a mask has become, people are hoping to reach out to many as possible on why "Trump is a disgrace."

"What the hell do they have against masks? Why are Trump supporters so damn obstinate? There are none in the crowd at Trump’s Mt. Rushmore Nuremberg rally, and these mouth breathers will eventually infect other people," wrote one user. Another user wrote, "Not a person of color anywhere to be found at Trump’s Mount Rushmore 4th of July celebration (campaign rally). No masks, no social distancing. Great job @realDonaldTrump setting an example. #SnowWhite4th" with another adding the daunting specifics,  "Trump’s Mt. Rushmore #4thofjulyweekend firework rally/celebration: -Masks optional -7,500 seats packed tightly on top of each other. -Cases rising in 40/50 U.S. states. A ridiculous way to kick off what could be the most dangerous weekend in the history of the United States."
