President Donald Trump is reportedly getting "bored" at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center where he was admitted following his Covid-19 diagnosis because he is "tiring" of watching TV coverage of his Covid-19 infection, his advisors are saying.

The president was reportedly getting so bored that he pushed for a possibility of a Monday discharge from the medical center as he wanted to return to the White House. However, The Washington Post reported that some of his advisors are under the impression that the possible return to the White House could just be a "political decision" as it was merely weeks to go before the election. However, his aides were concerned that an early release could backfire on the president if his symptoms relapse and he is forced to return to Walter Reed.

Meanwhile, amid reports of Trump getting bored in the hospital, he was seen leaving the hospital for a short while, to wave at supporters gathered outside the facility on Sunday, October 4. Trump, was seen wearing a mask and seated inside a black SUV as he waved at fans. As NPR reports, other images showed Secret Service agents inside the vehicle with personal protective gear on.

In a series of tweets following Trump's drive-by greeting of his fans, Buzzfeed editor Hayes Brown wrote: "He got bored. So they let him leave the hospital to wave at people. Because he was bored. It's gonna be a vicious feedback loop of the president wanting to show how strong he is despite having COVID, and the press being skeptical about his displays, prompting him to furiously do more things to show that he's doing fine even as his doctors won't give straight answers. Honestly how is this not a bit in a British sitcom about the US presidency. 'Uh sir? What are you doing here' 'Those doctors? All those doctors? They work for me. I was bored and they let me come home' 'I’m sorry?' 'I said ‘look this isn’t helping I’m getting cooped up, I’m getting bored’ so they said 'yessir.' '...Bored of having the coronavirus?'"

A number of social media users shared the same opinion as Brown. "We're ALL bored with his hospital coverage. The press can check in a couple of times a day to see if he's still alive. It's time to get back to the rest of America. It's time to begin covering his taxes, his corruption, his selling out the I.C., etc," one wrote while another said, "Bored. Tired of watching coverage? But they told us he was working hard for the American people?! They said he was relentless. They shared pics of him signing blank paper, with his favorite sharpie. Relentless. I tell you"

A third remarked, "It’s like a toddler was throwing a tantrum about being stuck inside all day! This is how Trump behaves and how his 'minders' pander to his absurd demands. It’s all so dysfunctional!" Someone else rebuked Trump for feeling bored after just a couple of days of being in the hospital when many of the people had been confined to their respective houses for months due to the pandemic. "Bored! Seriously! People have been in the houses for 7 months! Many with no options to work or see their families and you’re bored!" the user said.
