'Trending Fear': Release date, plot, cast, and everything you need to know about the paranormal docuseries on Travel Channel
From a Twitter thread to Twitter trend, the Travel Channel has announced that 'Trending fear' a six-part series paranormal docuseries from author Adam Ellis will premiere this December. Originally beginning in 2017, Ellis captured an image of a ghost in his apartment leading to his eerie tweets - he continued to document the haunting under the hashtag #DearDavid with about 14 million viewers following his fearful journey.

Plot
Buzzfeed author and illustrator Adam Ellis first tweeted about his now well known haunting tweeting, “My apartment is currently being haunted by the ghost of a dead child and he’s trying to kill me.” With a social media following that were eager for answers about this little boy that was haunting Ellis, he continued to document the ongoing haunting becoming the author of #DearDavid stories.
This series will follow Ellis along with researcher Jen Lewis and paranormal investigator Paul Bradford who travel cross-country to help people understand paranormal encounters - a topic most consider taboo. Getting the attention of millions on social media following his haunting and the unfolding of the #DearDavid stories, he now voluntarily dives into the supernatural in 'Trending Fear.' While some speculate that he is on this hands-on journey in order to understand his own haunting, he and his friends have said that using social media to crowdsource evidence, theories, and stories will help build a community and spark up a conversation about unknown entities that have affected lives.

Adam Ellis is a former BuzzFeed writer and illustrator and is well known for his twitter documentation of his haunting called #DearDavid stories. He is joined by researcher Jen Lewis, a researcher, and documentarian and paranormal investigator Paul Bradford.
