SPRING, TEXAS: A 22-year-old man 'accidentally' lost his life at the Rosenberger construction site in Spring, Texas after his grandfather drilled into him after he fell into a hole. The incident took place on the morning of October 5 at the site of an 'industrial construction' as the man and his grandfather were reported to be independent contractors. In the report by KHOU, Harris County Constable Mark Herman gave insight into the incident as he said the elderly man was operating the drill machine while his 22-year-old grandson was standing near the hole. He then added, "At some point, we don't know logistically how it happened but the 22-year-old fell in the hole and the grandfather did not clearly see that and he was killed by the drill bit."

The authorities of Southeast Texas are carrying out the investigation, however, according to the statement given by Herman, it appears to be a "tragic accident" according to KPRC-TV. The firefighters of the Spring and Woodlands station came to assist the Spring Fire Rescue Team to recover the man's body.

The Spring Fire Department shared information about the incident on their Facebook page. They said, "A tragic accident has claimed a life at a warehouse construction site in the southeast corner of the I45 North/Grand Parkway. Spring Fire’s Rescue Team assisted by firefighters from nearby Spring and Woodlands stations are shoring up a collapsed hole so they can recover the construction worker’s body. There have been no other injuries."

While Constable Herman also took to his Twitter to share the tragic incident with the audience. He shared some pictures from the scene and wrote, "#NOW: INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT
Constable Deputies responded to the 2300 block of the North Freeway and FM 2920 in reference to an industrial accident at a construction site, where a construction worker fell into a hole and is unresponsive." Concluding the tweet he said, "EMS and Fire are on scene."

According to Herman, the grandfather and the grandson were both independent contractors hired by Groundhog Foundation Drilling which is hired by Rosenberger Construction according to KPRC-TV. However, according to PEOPLE, it is unclear if the grandfather and the grandson were both employed by Groundhog Foundation Drilling. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the scene and told KTRK-TV that Groundhog Foundation Drilling is a subcontractor for DMAC Constructions. The case is being investigated.
