MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND: Maryland police on December 8 discovered the decaying body of a pregnant woman in the closet of Torrey Damien Moore, an accused murderer who allegedly killed a gas station convenience store worker. The woman's body was recovered during the murder investigation of the worker, Ayalew Wondimu, 61, whom police believe was fatally shot by Moore at the Dash-In convenience store at a Shell station the same day.
Moore, 31, is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. He could be slapped with additional charges once the woman is identified and the cause of her death determined, KSLA-TV reported. Her body was sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, where they will determine how she died and the stage of pregnancy she was in.

Moore, a Maryland resident allegedly shot and killed a convenience store clerk on December 8 following a heated argument with the worker saying he paid him several times. When the argument turned physical attack, Moore opened fire and shot the 61-year-old Ayalew Wondimu of Silver Spring, reported CBS Baltimore.
According to the update on the homicide shared by the Montgomery County Police Department, cops found Moore's residence in Enclave Apartments through surveillance footage of him walking across the street and walking into his rental. A SWAT team burst into his home with a no-knock search warrant early Friday, The Washington Post reported.
Torrey Damien Moore, 31, was charged with first-degree murder in the initial case, when police say he walked into a Dash In convenience store at 2:58 p.m. Thursday in the White Oak section of Montgomery County, got into an altercation with a 61-year-old clerk and shot him several times in the chest.
"Moore gave statements to detectives that he had been in a relationship with the person located inside the apartment. He also stated that the victim was eight months pregnant at the time of her death." the police wrote in the post. "Moore was located inside of his apartment, arrested, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit," added the Montgomery County police.
“He told detectives he was in a relationship with the female, who was pregnant — the female who was found inside of the apartment — and that there had been some type of fight between the two about one month prior that led to the victim becoming deceased,” New York Post quoted Montgomery County Chief of Police Marcus Jones as saying.
