CBS's original drama, 'Tommy' deals with the life of the new and the first female chief of police for Los Angeles, Abigail "Tommy" Thomas who serves to protect people that need it the most. While maintaining the high profile title, she has to figure out how to make everyone happy - in politics, social aspects, and her family life. A dramatic storyline and a star-studded cast - 'Tommy' is expected to make waves with the thrilling new series.

'Tommy' is set to premiere on CBS on February 6, 2020.

Plot

Abigail "Tommy" Thomas, a high-ranking NYPD officer becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles. The synopsis of the show says that "Tommy uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland. Equal parts political, procedural, and family drama."

The cast includes Edie Falco as Abigail 'Tommy' Thomas, Michael Chernus as Ken, Russell G. Jones as Cooper, Olivia Lucy Phillip as Kate, Adelaide Clemens as Blake, Joseph Lyle Taylor as Dudik, Thomas Sadoski as Buddy and Vladimir Caamaño.

Edie Falco

Edie Falco is known for her role in HBO series 'Oz' as Diane Whittlesey and as Carmela Soprano from the same networks 'The Sopranos'. Her role in 'The Sopranos' got her six Emmy nominations - three of which she won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, two Golden Globes and five Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Michael Chernus

Michael Chernus is best known for his role as Cal Chapman on 'Orange Is the New Black' (OITNB). He is played by Phineas Mason / Tinkerer in the  Spider-Man: Homecoming', which (2017).

The series is directed by Sarah Pia, Anderson Kate and Dennis Edward Ornelas and writing credits go to Paul Attanasio the creator of 'Homicide'.
