Tomi Lahren slammed as ‘Trump robot’ for tweeting about race of LMPD officer shot in Breonna Taylor protests

The ‘Fox Nation’ host, Tomi Lahren, who is infamous for trending on social every time she makes a statement, is yet again in the news for commenting on the race of one of the LMPD officers who was shot during the riots that ensued after it was announced that the officers involved in the Breonna Taylor killing were set free without any charges. After irking people with her previous tweet saying “It is NOT an officer’s duty to gamble with his/her life so you can happily and comfortably resist arrest," referring to the protests demanding justice for Taylor, Lahren is once again receiving flak for bringing up the race of the injured officer.

She tweeted, "One of the LMPD officers shot last night was also the first Haitian American to serve on the force. Disgustingly, the piece of human trash that shot those officers probably feels like a hero. Sick!"

Ever since the grand jury indicted one of the police officers involved in Taylor's fatal shooting, but did not charge the rest, people took to the streets to stage protests, to demand justice for the 26-year-old Black girl, who was struck eight times in her bed while executing a warrant. Lahren has been actively sharing her opinion about the judgment and the reactions it has met with, which isn't serving the Internet users well. The host even re-shared one of Kamala Harris' tweet which said, "Keep speaking Breonna Taylor's name" and wrote, "Do you know the name of even one officer gunned down and murdered in the line of duty? Didn’t think so." And Lehran wrote in another tweet, "It is your right to mourn the loss of Breonna Taylor. It is your right to demand an investigation. It is your right to be angry with the charges or lack thereof. It is NOT your right to riot, loot and burn and it is NOT your right to attack innocent officers."

Similar to the previous posts, even her latest tweet soon became subject to criticism and trolls as Internet users noted that she would only talk about race when it concerns the police. Democrat and former Conservative Republican David Weissman was one of many to call out Lehran for her statement, that has clearly sparked a fury among the supporters of BLM and a significant number of Twitter users who have been fighting for Taylor's justice. Weissman asked, "Race only matters to you when they are police?"

Lehran soon started to trend on Twitter as more and more people took to the platform to express their opinion about her tweet. One wrote, "Certain people just make stuff up. No one is hailing them as hero’s except Tomi. She’s claiming there are statues in their honor she just says fake stuff to get attention." While another added, "Tomi Lahren's plan is the same as every Trump robot: say something ridiculous/stupid/racist/bigoted/etc., then pretend to be a victim and say how mean the left is when we point out that she's clearly a shitty person." Adding to the previous tweet, one wrote, "Has Tomi Lahren ever been trending for a reason other than being a racist piece of garbage?" Meanwhile one slammed her saying, "Tomi Lahren presents herself as an exceptionally intelligent person, but then she speaks and it is easy to hear that she is exceptionally idiotic, privileged and racist. Such a waste."
