NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Gilmore Girls’ star Lauren Graham recently made an appearance on ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’ where she opened up a little about Matthew Perry’s death, which left fans across the globe in tears and shock.
Rumors about Graham and Perry being romantically linked together often made the rounds in the early 2000s, however, they both remained close friends, and never dated.
Now, after his death, Graham has opened up to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager about what she takes “solace” in after the ‘Friends’ star’ death on October 28.

As Kotb and Hager engage with Graham about her book and life, Kotb shifts the conversation to the late star Perry.
Kotb asked, “On a much more serious note, Matthew Perry passed away, and he passed away a few weeks ago, and we’ve been doing stories on this show, almost daily, which talks about the love that continues to pour into him. And I know you guys were friends as well.”
Graham responded, “It’s still a shock to me frankly. I saw him not that long ago and what I take solace in is that this last year, the book he wrote, had such success that meant so much to him."
She added, "Not just as a successful project, but that he was reaching so many people, that was really important to him and he was so happy so that was a silver lining, I guess, to his loss.”
